Damn. I bet he'll cheat on her later. Nightwing is DC's manhoe. Like Daredevil is Marvel's.
Nightwing is not DCs Manho. Green Arrow is. Man had to buy a second belt.

And I think Ted might be on the verge of Classic character status. He's been around for over 20 years and alot of us remember him from our childhood. He's atleast classic to us.
Actually, he's been around for over 40 years.

I don't know.....

Starfire, Oracle, Huntress, some random chick, who knows who else.

and he kissed Supergirl.

Supergirl kissed him!

And anyways, he regrets the Huntress thing (which was flat out bad writing, and is lucky to have been not retconned), and Babs always made more sense than Starfire to me anyways...

Call me old fashioned, but if she has that same fire-hair down where the sun don't shine, it would make for some awkward baby-making.

And that's why semi-cripples are better than Fire-haired aliens with anger management problems.

The Blue Beetle has, but I'm almost positive Ted Kord himself first appeared in Crisis on Infinate Earths.

Sorry Bax, Doc Comic is right

So says WIKIPEDIA!

Ted Kord

Charlton's next Blue Beetle, Ted Kord, was created by Steve Ditko, and first appeared as a back-up feature in Captain Atom #83 (Nov. 1966), with Gary Friedrich scripting from Ditko's conception and plot. This Blue Beetle was a genius-level inventor and a gifted athlete, sharing much more in common with the Fox original than did Charlton's earlier reimagining of the character.

Blue Beetle as a Superhero has been around for 66 years. Ted Kord was just the second.

And keep in mind that Dan Garret and Ted Kord inspired the two generations of Nite-Owls in Watchmen.

* shruggs * Then hes deffinatly classic at this point.

He was originally intended to be a Spider-Man clone, but he grew out of that, mostly due to DC.

And thanks for the assist, DSF! *High five*

True, but Nightwing pulls it off better. GA & Hawkeye have more in common in that dept....they keep it in the family.

Intresting bit from Wondercon for us 7S fans.
Seven Soldiers
Back at the San Diego Comic-Con in July 2005, it was mentioned the Seven Soldiers ties directly into Infinite Crisis. This is not true. "It relates in the sense that these characters will appear in [the DCU]," Morrison explained. "It takes place a week before Crisis... that why there are no heroes around." Morrison did say that there are some references to Crisis in April's Seven Soldiers #1.
So much for my OYL theory.

50 years does not a classic character make. it's not about how old they are, its about the character. i'm pretty sure the Vanisher was the villain of X-men #2. Is the Vanisher classic? classic means belonging to the highest rank, serving as the definitive model, or having a lasting influence. when you look at the wider scope of things, Blue Beetle has had no influence outside comics, as true classics (Supes, Batman, Wonder Woman, Spiderman, Wolverine, etc.) have. classic doesn't mean having existed for a long time, there's another word for that. it's old.

yeah, the last issue of Nightwing ruled the hoooooooooooooouse. hard. so yeah, i hope he doesn't die, which Waid implied in the article i came to show you guys.

it's a great article, with Johns, Rucka, Morrison, Waid, and others talking about the DC universe as a whole.

Johns said the Jim Lee cover to Infinite Crisis #5 seen here on Newsarama this week (featuring Blue Beetle, Booster Gold, and Batman) is not the final cover and there will be more to it/on it when it goes on sale

o_O

I don't see Venom in that costume at all...

It kind of reminds me of venom, i think from the marvel knights series.... just the face.
But i think beetle looks ok, i mean i like the costume before this 1, but eh it'll be good

The Real Cover,,,,

The TWO Wonder Women.

Original Earth-2 Wonder Woman didn't die in the last crisis, she merely turned back into the Clay of Olympus.

And Now she's back, and good riddance.

I kind of hope old-style Diana sicks around post-crisis, but at the very least she needs to help teach everyone how to be a good hero.

So.... Yup!

I was a big fan of Hippolyta as Wonder Woman from JSA, so if any new character is connected to her I'd be happy.

She just wasn't a *****.

Earth-Prime Superboy did that, and look where it got him. He was a better hero than all of them, and they didn't approve of him, and thus they forced him to fight.
