I'm not a big fan of 007. After seeing the last few movies, I thought it was dumb. But after seeing how some friends that used to be in to it and they way they reacted, I might, maybe go and see it.

all my friends and colleagues are hatin on this film and say they wont go see it. one of their biggest gripes is Craig as bond but all their hatin just makes me want to see it more

I pray this is good. Even though I'm a huge Bond fan, I haven't enjoyed a Bond film since Goldeneye.
I'm really hoping Craig brings back the Connery Bond. The franchise needs another Connery. Desperately.

Die Another Day was ok. But yeah, since GoldenEye the franchise has been meh.
Totally. I though Brosnan was great as the suave Bond.....but I'm wanting the more visceral Bond.
From the clips I've seen I like how this Bond looks to be proficent in hand-to-hand combat. Brosnan always looked good shooting a gun...but when it came down to fisticuffs he always looked like your avergae guy getting nto a brawl and landing some lucky shots.
Looks like Bond now will be able to kick some *** Bourne style. Good stuff.

So. . .I saw this at midnight last night (Because I'll be damned if I wait in line to buy a buggy 600 dollar gaming system) and. . .wow.

Honestly, I don't think I've enjoyed a Bond film more than Casino Royale since. . .well, since Connery did it. It was better than Goldeneye (Which is hard for me to say, since Goldeneye is what got me into Bond films).
Craig makes Bond believable. He's human, he makes mistakes, he's arrogant, he falls in love. . .but he's a badass. He's also very funny, but in a subtle way.
His one shortcomming is he is a bit stiff, especially with the ladies. The rugged attitude really works for when he's dealing with the spy stuff (And his sense of humor is very unique), but he needs to be a bit more suave when it comes to seducing women, so it doesn't come off that he just stands there, looks pretty, and gets the girl.
Most of the movie is very intense. The action sequences are much more believable (As is the plot) then the previous few movies. Hell, the hold-'em poker game is even really intense (It was a nice change from watching Bond play baccarat, which I barely understand. It was also a nice way to make Bond more contemporary). It's also awesome to see where the martini and Bond's attitude towards women comes from.
I highly, highly recommend this movie to any Bond fan, and even if you're not a Bond fan, I'd still say its well worth it to check out to see if this newer take appeals to you. I'm looking forward to the Craig era of Bond films. . .I just hope the next few stay in line with the tone of Casino Royale.

I saw it this afternoon with my dad and loved it.
Craig is one of the best Bonds ever and so was the movie itself.

How can you be a man and not be a Bond fan? James Bond takes everything manly and awesome and compresses it into pure, unadulterated giggity. If 007 was a drug, it would be uncut, and you'd injest it by stabbing a hypodermic needle directly into your spinal cord.

The most refreshing Bond film that they ever made. Don't get me wrong, GoldenEye and The World Is Not Enough in particular are still two of my all time favorites along with Goldfinger and From Russia With Love. But I'm adding this one to the list.

I saw this last night and HOLY FREAKIN' GOD it was awesome, everything from the prologue to the final scene, was top notch, and Daniel Craig is a total badass. I was worried that the Bond films were dying out, but this movie has definantly reinvigorated the series. 10/10
