Why? Because Cap says in that same episode "He died during the War" and we clearly know he wasn't supposed to be captured by the enemy as the episode ended with him getting dumped off at the military base; thus altering his fate. (On Earth-8096, Heinrich getting scarred didn't happen until 1943.)
And that's where this comes into play:

The circumstances of how he came to the present created Earth-8096, in my theory. That 1942 Assemble episode was pre-Super Soldier Steve Rogers.
In Avengers: EMH season 2, his decision to save T'Challa or have the Sun explode is what lead to Kang's future getting erased.

So in other words, the events that were exclusive to EMH (E-8096) didn't happen before in E-12041.

I feel like Akira doesn't fit in the Teen Titans universe, IMO.

Because DC doesn't own Akira. Akira was never at any point in the hands of DC, it was an easter egg.

And the amount of **** that happens in Akira IS objectively too contradicting with the world of Teen Titans. ESPECIALLY (and objectively) compared to the minor ones between Hulk vs Wolverine and WatXM.
