Marvel Cinematic Universe - Timeline (Part 5)

2017 also does make sense timeline-wise I feel, since that’s a year after Civil War. DeMarr Davis would have to identify himself as Doorman due to the Sokovia Accords so that became a huge part of his public image. The Doorman Clause is also something that would be implemented without question, following the Sokovia Accords

The timeline book said 2013 and there's also prop dates for it
I know the timeline book said it but the timeline (including AoS) works literally no other way than if Iron Man 3 was in 12, or if nothing of interest happened in 2013, which would push everything up a year so AoS lines up with Iron Man 3, but then none of the other dates work shown literally everywhere else, I’d say AoS retconned Iron Man 3 to 2012 and that’s why you can still see 2013 dates in the movie

You already responded to Eloesch who made the same comment about the book, you didn't need to reiterate that you want to ignore it

Also I don't think it's impossible Shield didn't know about Eternis prior to IM3. I'm pretty sure the site had already discussed this when the book dropped. So I don't think it's gonna get changed again

I’m not sure, it could’ve been talked about, I just feel the book has gotten quite a few things wrong anyway, as has Marvel themselves, so it shouldn’t really apply here. And S.H.I.E.L.D. couldn’t have known about Extremis, since Tony Stark cross-references FBI, CIA, and S.H.I.E.L.D. data with one of the Extremis explosion crime scenes and Extremis isn’t mentioned at all (he is hacking into the databases here and has done so to S.H.I.E.L.D. quite easily before so this isn’t just what they disclosed to the public, this is everything they know about it)

i know what you’re saying and i personally agreed with the 2012 placement over 2013 until i thought abt how tony built over 40+ suits it makes a lot more sense that would take 18 months vs. 6; and yes while i also agree that there are some placements in the book that don’t fit my personal timeline at all, specifically eternals and love and thunder, that anyone who might want to try to fit in making a new project at marvel studios would probably be using the book as a reference; the defenders was based simply on an erroneous placement by fans running the wiki, they were not mentioned in the book at all, if they had been where they are now when they first introduced the disney plus timeline im sure that’s where they would have been placed

i also don’t think it’s a massive stretch that aim would have allowed centipede to test an early version of extremis, as it wasn’t that long before killian was set to introduce it to the public anyway

Tony was also barely sleeping, instead working on building suits almost the whole time. Also, by Avengers the Mk7 had bee built and fully operational so it was only 35 suits. Building 35 suits in 18 months as opposed to 6 massively diminishes how much of Tony’s life he’s spent building suits.

Simmons, when analysing the Centipede serum, states there’s traces of Extremis in it. The way she throws this around lightly implies Iron Man 3 has come and gone. AoS also shows Extremis perfected months before Iron Man 3 (if in 2013) so why would Killian still be bringing out the old formula?

Oh, and S.H.I.E.L.D. are clearly completely unaware of Centipede or that it’s connected to anything, if they had been actively investigating Extremis it would’ve been at least mentioned that the discovery of Centipede would help with putting a stop to AIM
