powerpuff girls has been made in to a full anime. Its still in japan at the moment but should be out in usa soon.

i think they tried to make it as close to salior moon *** possible thats why they transform and the rings do that for them.

But... why? Powerpuff girls had a vry anime dynamic in the first place, adding a transformation (especialy if they keep the girls created by the Professor aspect) is just gratuitious.

I agree there no need for changes but it still looks enjoyable to me anyway.

magical girl anime is a genre, not just Sailor Moon... Think Cardcaptor Sakura... There are plenty of other examples, and they're just making this another one of those shows...

This is a completely horrible idea.

I've seen a couple episodes of the PPG with my ex-niece and it was nothing like the original short I remember.

The original short was maybe like 10 minutes long and it starred Fuzzy Lumpkins and his meat gun. He turned one of the blue one's pigtails into a drumstick and she went ape**** on him. That show was great.

But then my ex-niece was watching the show and I was looking at it thinking to myself that this show has now been dumbed down.

I blogged about this a few months ago, and my take on it is that Powerpuff Girls Z is that it's a very bizarre magical bishoujo revisioning of the characters, and testament to a very strange cultural feedback loop.

It defies Understanding, and by that I mean, trying to comprehend it in some form other than a mindwank academic ****piece piled with CTheory-type textual hypnotics.

I mean think about it: The Powerpuff Girls was born from a mutant blend of exported Japanese kawaii aesthetic crossbred with the aesthetic affectations of children’s storybooks. And now Cartoon Network wants to take that and pump it BACK into the J-pop machine.

Crazy!
