I'm too lazy to click on the link and wait for it to load as I'm going to pretend I have better things to do, but is that the same video you linked to in another thread? If so, that was a very good fight, except some parts were rather corny.

Yeah, that's the one he linked to in the Fight Scenes thread. It was really well choreographed and the ending was great, but I don't think it was that much better than the movie fights.

2 is really good... except I never understand why when two fighters are using the Force to get something (in this case, the yellow lightsaber), why doesn't the other guy just take out his opponent when he doesn't have the lightsaber? It just seems stupid to me... and I don't think pride or honour would have anything to do with it, since it seems they're trying to kill each other during the whole fight.

Don't look at it too harshly. I watch it and pretty much, the fight, if done honestly, would be over very, very quickly. A lot of the choreography is only possible because it's rehearsed. Two fighters of expert skill would never fight this long. You gotta let some **** slide. It's part of the fun seeing them pull off ridiculous moves and combinations. Some of the choreography is poor, but some is blindingly good. Focus on the latter than the former.
Did you see the second one? Ryan is totally playing it serious and villainous (fair enough, he's the bad guy in the sequel), but Dorkman is playing a lot of it for laughs, and the two play off each other very well. The ending where Ryan tortures Dorkman is particularly well acted.
Sure, the thing isn't perfect, and in some places it is a bit rough, but gorram it, I think these guys are brilliant. Its like a cat and mouse cartoon of yore past: Tom & Jedi.

I dunno. I think $20 is too much, but I'd like to see how they did it. I'm quite interested in the tech involved. I doubt the making of dvd would be them espousing how RVD is an important cultural artifact. I think it'd just be a look at how they did it, and I think a lot of people would be interested. I think doing a 'making of' dvd when the final project is online, for free, isn't taking themselves too seriously at all. I just think they're being professional about it.
But they link you to a site (for both RVDs) that allows you to download them much higher res that's on youtube for free.
