Shallow Grave(1994)

Stars: Ewan MacGreggor, Kerry Fox, Christopher Eccleston

This movie owns. It's a Scottish indie film that jump-started a couple of careers(particularly Ewan's). Ewan gives the best performance I've seen him do to date, and the other two are fantastic as well.

It's a taught psychological thriller with a bit of pitch-black comedy here and there. The basic plot isn't the most creative one ever, but its execution is what makes this movie so great.

The less you know about the plot going in, the better. See this movie.

Well, I remember liking this movie. But aside from the mood and the thick accent, I don't remember much about it.

It's been over 10 years! Good but apparently not that memorable.

The use of Happy Happy Heart by Andy Williams right at the end is a masterstroke.

A brilliant movie, especially creepy Christopher Eccleston.

It's a great movie but I prefer Boyle's other stuff.
