The DVD purchase thread

A few months back (well actually more like 6 or so) somebody (I forget who) used to post a list of the newly released DVDs every week so that people could post which ones they were planning on getting.

It didn't stick.

But hopefully this will:

Every time you purchase a DVD (unless it's something you-know-what related), tell us what it is here, if you feel like sharing. Doesn't matter if it just came out or if you got it in the 8 dollar used section. This'll be just like the post your pulls thread, not to mention the what movies are you seeing and the what are you watching tonight threads.


I'll start:

Today I bought Scrubs The Complete Fourth Season on DVD Sale Price (optional): $29.99

And we're off.
 
Ok, here it goes:

Last week I purchased X-Men: The Last Stand Collector's Edition, and Kung Pow: Enter the Fist.

Good movies. Especially Kung Pow, so good......

the otherday I got the X-men last stand 2-disk special edtion (uk version- some slight extras diffrences to the usa one) very good dvd.

Not only is the film a good film but the extras are also very well done e.g I like the prosophy video that explains how things fit together and made me think "oh yeah i ddn't notice that"

IMO seeing the extras makes you apreate the movie even more!

I just got House Season two.

My favorite show and the last episode of the season was one of the best I've ever seen. Smart, witty, sarcastic, and the honest truth no matter how rude. You gotta love House.
 
Over the weekend I got the Collector's Edition of X3: The Last Stand.

The extras don't really make me appreciate it more. They makes me want to shout out "Darn it, that's a much better idea than what they had in the theatrical cut!" :p
 
Last week my sister bought the Anniversary Edition of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and I finally got around to seeing it.

Mmmm. Murder-Licious.

I also borrowed some DVDs from my cousin, who has more DVDs than he can fit in his tiny, little apartment. My haul:

Evil Dead 2
Army of Darkness
Saw
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2

And the first two seasons of Arrested Developement. I'm ashamed to say that I've missed a lot of AD episodes, so I'm catching up. Today I was watching "Storming the Castle". The best part was when Tobias inadvertantly dresses up as a leather daddy while trying to get closer to Meaby and ends up accidentally going to a gay bar.

"Um, I'm going to the 'Magic Castle'."

"The 'Gothic Arsehole'?"

"Yes, that's it."

Army of Darkness is pretty damn cool.
 
I bought Season 2 of Nip/Tuck, Disney's Hercules, and Clone High (from Canada, its not out in the US).
 
I made my mum buy Lost Season 2 for my birthday last week.

that was me....the mistress of life makes you play by her rules, and her rules alone....hence why it didn't stick
