Bass.... the list is "for better and worse". It's like Time Magazine's Person Of The Year. Look at the reasons they give for each of the shows you name. Under no circumstances whatsoever did Breaking Bad have a bigger impact on television in the 2000s than 24 or The Writer's Strike did. They also listed "My Humps" as one of the songs of the decade.
I have issues with some of the reasons they give in terms of importance, i.e. "Alias introduced the concept of a plot that provided questions instead of answers".... I guess Robert Brockway, who is older than me, doesn't know what an "X-File" is, but other than that each of those shows, sadly, either had a larger influence on, or say more about, the 2000s than uppler-echelon shows seen by a fraction of the population did.
