I've included other disconnected Universal Monsters films because why not I guess.

There's actually some recent comics that are part of the Universal Monsters brand by Skybound Entertainment. Wonder if it fits.

Three chapters into Undead Unluck, and we get a specific date... August 5th. Coupled with the fact that it's stated to be in three days, this means that the manga begins on August 2nd. Will see if there's a specified year, though considering the anime uses 2020, it might be the same in the manga.

TL;DR, timeline ATM is as follows (barring flashbacks):
August 2nd, 20XX (Chapters 1 to 3): Fuuko and Andy meets for the first time, fights Void and Shen, with Void dying and Shen telling them how to join Union.
August 5th, 20XX (Chapters 4 to ?): Fuuko and Andy arrive in Russia, fight between them and Gina (the Union member Shen tells them about)

Not sure if anyone plans to do a timeline for 2000 AD/Judge Dredd, but some key notes I've observed:
  • The Atomic Wars (as shown in flashbacks during the "Origins" storyline) begin on June 12th, 2070, which eventually leads to the creation of the Cursed Earth.
  • The Volgan Invasion of Britain as shown in the comic strip Invasion (Prog 1 itself) takes place on January 1st, 1999.
  • One of the Strontium Dog storylines has Johnny Alpha and Wulf Sternhammer going back in time to April 30th, 1945 to apprehend Hitler for his crimes (yes, really).

I know it's just for fun and nothing serious, but is there a connection? And if so, what is it?

Just for fun.

The Mummy: Dark Universe Stories, a sequel game to The Mummy (2017), directly connects to The Mummy's Hand film series characters, bringing in Dr. Petrie (who has somehow stayed young) and the mummy Kharis, both using the original actors' likenesses. The Mummy's Hand is marketed as part of Universal Monsters, the first shared universe that primarily spanned the 1930s to 1950s. It directly crossed over in Return of the Wolf Man (novel), itself an official sequel to Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein.

The Mummy (2017) had numerous easter eggs to other movies that are part of the Universal Monsters brand. These include the skull of a vampire, the hand of the Creature from the Black Lagoon, and the Book of Life/Amun Ra (from The Mummy (1999)). When asked about these connections, the intended nature of the Dark Universe was revealed, and it wasn't a new continuity but rather a continuation of the existing Universal Monsters canon.
When asked about the homage to the 1999 film, director Alex Kurtzman said it was a must. "You have to pay homage and tribute to everything that came before," he told Digital Spy.

For him, the scene was about paying respect to the films and the filmmakers that came before. "To deny their existence in any way, I think would have been incredibly rude," Kurtzman said. Does this mean Fraser's Rick O'Connell exists in the new Mummy universe? Possibly.

A big fan of the Universal monsters, Kurtzman felt that including the Book of the Dead from the original movie acknowledges the previous movies' existence.

So, all of those films are part of the history of the Universal monsters, and as such I thought, rather than say it's not part of the canon, let's say, 'No, it is part of the canon; we're just taking it somewhere new.'
Arguably, this leaves the possibility for MANY Universal Monsters branded films to be part of the shared universe, but it gets convoluted fast since you'd have to account for multiple versions of Frankenstein (Van Helsing) and Dracula (Van Helsing, Dracula Untold, The Last Voyage of the Demeter, etc).
The monster is nicknamed Frankenstein in this continuity, don't correct me.

Renfield is a direct sequel to Dracula, with the previous "sequels" being crossover films or about family members. The film starts with a brief recap of the 1931 film, putting Nicolas Cage and Nicolas Hoult as Dracula and Renfield into the original scenes.

"I guess you could argue Dracula's Daughter (1936) is a sequel because the opening scene is the aftermath of the Tod Browning movie, but Bela Lugosi's not in it, it's a whole different set of characters," McKay said. "It's a great movie, it's wild if you haven't seen it. But to me, this is the only real direct sequel with the Dracula and the Renfield of that movie."

McKay hoped that Renfield would be advertised as the direct sequel to Dracula, but it wasn't. "I think it would've been a funny way of positioning this movie. The longest time between the original movie and the sequel, beating Psycho or whatever," McKay said.

Chapter 16 confirmed it. 2020. I'll make a thread at some point later.

See, they're all Dracula, but like... different. Kinda. You can do that if you want. Obviously you'd be assuming there's more than one Demeter too. I think that the Jekyll/Hyde from Van Helsing and The Mummy (2017) could probably be rationalised as descendants of the Jekyll/Hyde of the 1913 Universal Jekyll/Hyde film if you want. Throw in Abbott and Costello Meet Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde too I guess. It's all fun anyways.

There is also two Imhotep that get mummified and revive in the 20th century. And they are not the same guy since the princess that they were in a relationship with before dying and they try to revive in the present has a different name.
