Timeline Hub

Wouldn't it make more sense for them to be retconned a few years (ignoring the hard dates) considering how the Survivor games have modern technology
The technology problem Will still be and issue cos After the Survivor era you go into the Classic era with 1990s - 2000s technology.

So since in both cases the issue remains I'll go with the hard dates.

The early 2000s tech in the 2020s would be fine though since by the 2020s it exists while if you put the Survivor trilogy in the 90s then it becomes a problem with most of the tech in games not even existing

It's like a Mad Max situation the original trilogy was originally set in the 80s and 90s but when Fury Road was released they were moved up to the 2010s and 2020s, it's a similar situation with the Unified Timeline

It can happen backwards too.

And until we know a proper date we have to go what we have.

The anime retconned the Survivor era to happen in the span of 3 years. So Even the Survivor years can't be used.

The dates for now that can fit Better are the Classic ones, if not you have to go with Lara Year 1, Year 2 etc... Which I'm not a fan of.

Any case the Survivor era using core design DOB it's set from 1989 to 1991.

Using Crystal Design DOB it's set from 2013 to 2015. But Good luck dating Chronicles as It becomes almost impossible now.

What does the timeline formatting have to do with the dates
I prefer to have confirmed dates. I usually do the formatting When 2 sets of Canon are both Canon, Like translation star wars years into ours, which TR does not.

P.S. I just Remembered another problem with Survivor's dates.

In the remastered of TR1 the opening cutscene still says present day, so since the collection was released in 2024 are you saying me that Lara Is 32 in TR1, against the original 28. This would mean that by the time of Underworld She would be in her 40s - 50s (probably 40s tho). And tbh this doesn't fit at all.

Also what has Lara been doing since 2017?

What years did you put the movies in?
Not yet on that. As for now I'm going in Release order to put things in the right way.

But for the Moment Is to put everything Lara has done from 21 to 40 years old, i think it's the max that I can see her do.

Translating in dates:

CE Dates from 1989 to 2008.

SE dates from 2013 to 2032.

Do you know when they are set in relation to the anime? Do the Angelina Jolie movies come after?
ofc the films have to take place after the anime, The Anime was advertized as the bridge between survivor and classic era, so they have to place after, for the exact placement with the classic era games IDK at the moment.
