In Ultimate X-Men, they have already gone public so a lot of people know about Xavier's motives. Also, Beast was often on the internet giving away secrets... Sinister could have been reading up on the X-Men.

Me and Icemastertron say Mikhail Rasputin... It would give Colossus and his sister, Magik, time to shine. He hasn't been given enough characterization and he needs something soon. While Vaughan is on, he should be focused on the most... Vaughan's favorite X-Man is Colossus so it makes sense.
