While it is boring.......how many people picked up that it's an homage to the cover Joe Q did for USM#1?

Bags loves the homage thing.

He'd better watch it. Didn't he get the memo?

As for the cover itself...it has failed to elicit any kind of response from me.

Boring alternate cover for a crap series that with every issue goes further and further down the drain.

What is the point of doing a variant cover for this? Homage or not it's worthless. Just because they break the record with this issue they need a variant? Jeez, at least wait for Bagley's last issue to do another variant, we just had one for #100.

I love Bags but this is the most boring cover ever.

Pfffft----Bag's walks around the offices with immunity. I'll bet he repsonds to every bit of criticism with "USM...104!" like Al Bundy with "4 touchdowns in one game..."

Wow. And I thought my legs were weird.

So now that Bendis/Bagley have broken the record, can we get good stories now? Or is that impossible?

Are you high? USM is by far the best of the ultimate titles. (It would be Ultimates but it only comes out once every 6 months or so) The clone saga is great and gets better with every issue. I can't wait to see how it comes out. I don't know what all you doinks are complaining about. If you want to complain about a crappy Ultimate title, how about UXM? Talk about lame. Both the art and writing blow.

The general disapproval for Bendis' work on USM (in particular) seems to be an accepted consensus on this message board. If you do plan to stick around as a regular, you will just have to deal with this reality.

There *are* people with dissenting opinions here, who probably enjoy the Clone Saga as much as you do, but they choose to air these opinion in a reasonable and respectful tone. (At least, until they've managed to warm up to the regulars.)

At which point, we ignore them. But that's neither here nor there.

No, seriously, you're entitled to your opinion, and you're free to express it here, so ease up on the undue hostility.

I wasn't trying to be hostile. I'm just confused at how some folks can be so down on what is clearly a great title.

I get that everyone is entitled to their opinion. But that doesn't make it right. :D

As stated before on this site.....the fans have been patient. The book has been way below lackluster for going on 2 years now. That's 24(+) issues. 24 issues of utter worthless stories.

Now I'll admit that for each arc---there's been a few shining issues. But just like in any sport---a few good plays don't make a great season. All they do is make for a nice highlight reel to watch while sitting on your couch watching the other team go onto the championship. So a few solid issues are nice....but when the overall arc is bad---those few good arc don't really matter.

But what a lot of you newer posters fail to realize is that the hate for this book/Bendis stems not from stupid USM stories. Stupid stories are just a part of the comic world. We all accept them. The hate stems from the fact that Bendis is capable of SOOOOOO much better.

Read his "Alias" series. Read his run on "Daredevil". Those were all STELLAR works of Bendis. His early run on USM was great.

But now it's not even like he's phoning it in.........it's like he's texting the scripts to Bags and Joe Q on his RAZR.

It's the same disappointment a parent/teacher gets from seeing a really gifted child not fulfill his potential and practically fail a class. The kid could be a MENSA nominee......but he doesn't do his homework or any class projects and merely skates by on just getting A's on his tests. It's the "D's Get Degrees" mentality.

I get that everyone is entitled to their opinion. But that doesn't make it right. :D

And by that logic....you are entitled to your opinion about USM being great. But that don't mean you're right.

Oh yeah.....welcome and all that jazz.

Almost funny, but you can do better than that.

Hmm, aren't variant covers supposed to be cool?
Let's think about some recent spidey variants ...

Well , Ultimate Spidey 100 was nice , due to the tribute to ASM #100

Civil War 3 was cool!!! Definetly ...

And I don't remember which comic they used this one as variant but this is awesome!!!

But trust me Variant to USM #104 sux. Eventhough it's Bagley , it sux. Period.
