X-Men Cinematic Universe - Timeline (Revised & Original)

I feel like if Marvel really didn't want The Gifted to be wasted, the series ending with Blink creating a portal could easily be retconned, in another Marvel property, as a door way to the MCU rather than the (DoFP) future. As much as I found the series too depressing for my tastes, I enjoyed some of the characters, especially Blink and Polaris, and I'd hate for them to be forgotten in a throwaway seres.
A literal transition from one dead universe to a thriving one would be a brilliant retcon IMO. Especially since comic Blink can hop to different universes, if I remember correctly.

Don't hold your breath, but it's a fun thought.
Just quoting this for no reason at all...

Here is my chronological viewing order for the franchise. Let me know if you spot any issues/errors.
You're missing The Gifted's Empower Acadamy (same voice actress for Trask Industries maybe?) and PSA: Sentinel Services in-universe videos.

Also the Sky Fibre Quicksilver commercial, which I count as canon because, come on, it's a universe where they made giant robots in the 1970s, broadband in the 80s isn't unlikely. Plus, it's just really fun.

Deadpool, No Good Deed and Deadpool 2: Super Duper $@%!#& Cut certainly are apart of the Revised Timeline in my opinion. Fourth wall breaking isn't an excuse, Deadpool 3 will do that and is considered MCU canon so why not here? Especially with all the X-Men references and cameos.

Legion shouldn't be considered an alternate timeline, but rather a separate universe, which are the same thing in Marvel but I mean that Legion doesn't spin out of the film timeline. Professor X is born decades earlier, and looks significantly different.

That's about it.

The Rogue Cut is non-canon
If you want, I have all the time codes for X-Men: Days of Future Past: The Rogue Cut.

However, on the commentary for X-Men: Apocalypse, they specifically refer to it as not canonical when talking about Mystique.

The Gifted
Another video.

This released between 1x11 and 1x12, so that's where I place it.

They said they consider some moments from the films as canonical, so this is almost definitely a reference to X-Men: First Class.

X2: X-Men United

Is that a date in the bottom left?
"LCB 05.22 •.14"

If so, that's May 22, 2004. The 14 would have to be ignored to fit with 25 Moments, which places X-Men: The Last Stand in 2006. It could be intentional to fit with the 2000 film's text stating that the story took place in the near future.

I would just like to jump in and add something to this to help narrow down the New Mutants placement. I'm a board game nut and around 1:02:55 in the film, you can see a copy of 'Codenames: Deep Undercover' on the shelf. That game was released in 2016. So I would say the film most likely takes place in 2017, at the very least.

Where WandaVision fits?Remember that although Pietro is Mephisto,Nightmare, fake,a recast or illusion, the multivere is real and the Fox Universe is canon in the MCU multiverse like the Raimi's and Webb's Spider-Mans

Yeah, same multiverse, but so is everything Marvel. Until we know the context of Evan Peters, we can't speculate.

I'd imagine it would be post Dark Phoenix, pre-Deadpool.

1952
March 3

The Gifted 1x08, "threat of eXtinction" (0:00:00 - 0:01:17)

The newspaper says March 4th, not March 3rd.

Mutants aren't public knowledge at this point, yet the newspaper explicitly mentions them. I guess the Fenris twins called themselves mutants, and the press took that and had them as mutant terrorists. The "magic trick" guy in X-Men: First Class said he always believed they existed, so maybe he heard of the twins. Hardly the worst inconsistency in this franchise.

Bear with me on that update. I'm literally busy with other things that I do besides timeline stuff. Like work.

No worries. Take your time and come back when you're ready.

I know I said I don't think X-Men: The Official Game is canon, but after watching a long play, it definitely fits.

Reasons:
1. It explains why Nightcrawler isn't in X-Men: The Last Stand.
2. It explains why the team are running a simulation on Sentinels in X-Men: The Last Stand.
3. It utilizes the film actors.

Now, going over why I thought it had been non-canon:
There is an individual who goes by the Silver Samurai that is vastly different to what is presented in The Wolverine. They aren't actually named, though. Probably similar to Emma Frost and Emma Silverfox, two separate people based on the same character.

The Sentinels. In the game, it's stated that Stryker has been involved with the project since before Weapon X in 1979. This makes sense, as he was there when Mystique assassinated Bolivar Trask in 1973. Apparently, they thought they couldn't get the program going, but they went into business with HYDRA to build Sentinels. It wasn't in their interest to turn them against mutants, Silver Samurai being their leader. Stryker had other plans.

On the timeline, Nightcrawler is having visions of Jason Stryker, which Xavier suggests is a residual effect of the mind control. I would think that it would disappear in less than a year, so I take it as still being in the same year as X2: X-Men United.

If you wish to include it as I have, here's this:
X-Men: The Official Game Chapter 1: Lady Liberty
