Ultimate X-Men #79 discussion (spoilers)

Re: Ultimate X-Men #79 preview at Comicscontinuum

That he is. In some panels/pages---his art is great. Like the Fury pages are so detailed that it almost mirrors Hitch.

But then there's those Bobby scenes........
I gotta agree there. Since when did Bobby get so muscular? The height thing isn't a problem since he was drawn about that height before, until Raney came around and drew him short and looking as if he's 10.

Bobby the one character that changes the most artist to artist. Even back when Kubert was the only artist, some issues Bobby would look completely different than he had earlier. I remember Bobby have an ear ring.

Wolverine also goes through changes artist to artist. He's tall, he's short, he has "Wolverine hair" he has loose long hair. But nothing compared to Bobby's changes. I remember his hair changing colors once too.

Does Bobby have Blonde or brown hair anyway? The artists can't decide.

Re: Ultimate X-Men #79 preview at Comicscontinuum

I don't know. I guess it's blond but it changed all the time. I remember a few panels where Kubert drew him like Jay from the View Askew movies. Then he's a little boy, then he's bland looking, then he's brunette, then he's muscular and 20 something. He changes all the time.

Re: Ultimate X-Men #79 preview at Comicscontinuum

I remember reading an issue I think in the mid 20's, and everyone looked different, and I was confused and had no clue on who was who.

Re: Ultimate X-Men #79 preview at Comicscontinuum

I remember reading an issue when Bobby was a Hobbit.

Re: Ultimate X-Men #79 preview at Comicscontinuum

I know Hitch modeled Fury after Sam L. Jackson, but Paquette's Fury looks more like Jackson than Hitch's ever did. I haven't decided yet if it's a good thing or not.

Re: Ultimate X-Men #79 Preview @ PopCultureShock

Thanks for the heads up chanzero

Interesting, Legacy project.

And Bobby is still a jerk

I know man oh man

An kitty is moving to queens does that mean she'll be showing up more in USM.

They really need to fix the time lines a bit.

Re: Ultimate X-Men #79 Preview @ PopCultureShock

I could've sworn we've already seen this...

Re: Ultimate X-Men #79 Preview @ PopCultureShock

It's getting to be pretty obvious that the "new student" at Peter's school is kitty.

However, this takes place after Xavier died, and he was alive during the Clone Saga...therefore, Kitty probably should have already seen the Peter/MJ kiss :)sick:)...so why is she complimenting Peter and talking about how they're still dating?

Continuity is stupid.

Re: Ultimate X-Men #79 Preview @ PopCultureShock

Anyone else notice that creepy hand Nick Fury's sporting now?

Utterly creepy.

Legacy Project....I love and fear it.

Re: Ultimate X-Men #79 Preview @ PopCultureShock

Okay, I have to admit that was a pretty good preview.

The Legacy Project could be interesting, but more than likely it'll be the Legacy Virus with some stupid twist. My bet is it's an ultimate version of the cure. Just it's going to have some crazy unexpected twist that everyone will see coming.
