Alright, the series is not out yet. But here's news that we'll begin this thread with that will be the discussion thread for the new ongoing series. No, you read correctly. Ongoing series.

Read the report on Newsarama.

Read the report on Newsarama.

yeah i thought civil initiative was limited series

aaah! Who caaaaares anymore?

If I have to read one more Civil War tie-in...I'm going to go insane.

Oh wait, I thought you posted about this one, sorry. My mistake.

no no no. i mean i meant that i knew about avengers as ongoing. or figured it would turn that way since it's slott(right?) writing it. but i remember there being a cw initiative as a one shot or mini

Anyone else afraid of Slott being on this project? This is his biggest project and this seems like such a risk for Marvel to put a writer so focused on continuity and campiness on a "serious important hero title".

I like him but also understand where some have found him a little hard to swallow. I hope he's able to pull this off.

Yeah, its not his usual stomping ground, oh well just have to wait and see I guess.

Not really. I've some of his work before that was a "serious important" title and all that, so I don't have a problem.

I read #1. And I'm not sure if I like it or not. It's not bad...but it's not great either.

A lot of cliches. I mean a LOT.

And they brought back Slapstick.

Yeah....Slapstick.

And there's a character named "Emo".

So yeah....the jury is still out. If I had to make a decision right now on whether or not I'll continue to check this out based off the first issue alone....I'd drop it.

Are they going to take the power of the people that are not fit for the "army"? Because that sounds a little to hard, the registration act seems more cruel than I thought.
I liked the first issue, I didn't like the Gauntlet (stupid design) and the removal of powers, but It sounds interesting.
