Comparative Geek Fight Trivia Quiz

RE: toxin/ghost rider etc.

Is it to do with transforming, you said bigby could spend time in human form, ghost rider is only ghost rider at night, he's human during the day. Toxin and his cop host (i forget the name) have an arrangement so that he's still a cop and spends time in human form. Same as Etrigan.

Well I gotta go and you are close enough. It was that they transformed to fight their adversaries.
Take it Ninja!

Ok quick and easy, i better go do some work soon. Last time I did Marvel so I'll try and make it more DC-orientated:

The Pied Piper (flash villain as made famous by countdown)
Obsidian
Apollo (the authority)
The Question (the current, second question)

They're all homosexual.

(Yeah, that was an easy one.)

Correct. They're all homosexual. At least I did better than just put Midnighter and Rawhide Kid down though. And question/pied piper are in 52/countdown so I figured they'd be pretty popular characters if you read those. But pied piper's sexuality hasn't yet been mentioned in countdown so it might be informative for people who didn't know.

Take it away compound

Something a little different this time.
Identify what all these characters have in common, then add a fourth character to the list. Think carefully...

The Master (Buffyverse)
Apocalypse (616/mainstream Marvel version)
Ra's al Ghul (DC comics continuity)

They are all middle eastern based villains, and I'll add The "Red Skull" from Ultimates 2.
Nope. The Master is Heinrich Joseph Nest, and it's strongly suggested that his American followers originated from Eastern Europe -- doesn't sound very Middle Eastern, to me. You're looking at the wrong aspects of the character.

My bad it was a shot in the dark with the Master really. Ok all the characters are hundreds of years old.
I'll add Dracula to that list.

Ra's Al ghul ~ 500 years old
Master ~ 600 years
Apocalypse ~ Ages

I wonder Apocalypse = En saber Nur = The first one.
MAster has some sort of connection to the First Evil.
Ra's al ghul translates as the Demon's Head....so it doesn't fit.

If it were odd one out it'd be Rag.

I'll accept Dracula as a response, if you tell me (a) which version you're referring to, and (b) a more specific reason that gives him something in common with the others.

You're thinking along the right lines, about their longevity. But there's more to it than that.

Well I guess the Marvel version would do. I guess that all the characters need something to live a long time, for Dracula and the Master it's blood, for Apocalypse is alien tech., for Rag it's the Lazarus pit.

You're really making an effort, so i'll give this round to you.

Basically, the idea is that all of the other characters have a specific organization to ensure their longevity, too:

Ra's al Ghul --> League of Assassins
Apocalypse --> Clan Akkaba
The Master --> Order of Aurelius

But you deserve the win. Go ahead...

Ok this will require some out side the comic book thinking:

1) Steel
2) Spider-Man
3) Flash Gordon
4) The Shadow

The Shadow was a film in the 1990s, as was Steel. Spider-Man and Flash Gordon both had live-action tv shows in the 1990s. So is it that they were all live-action productions during the 90s?

The Spider-Man live action show was an 80s programme, but I imagine you say 90s because it might have arrived much later in the UK, as it did here in the Philippines.

You live in the Philippines? I thought you lived in Asia
