Ted and Barney pretend to be lost tourists to get women in the bar to talk with them. They meet two women and tell them they are from St. Louis. They tell them they have a friend from there and when the friend walks up, Barney darts away quickly. Ted chats with the newcomer and obviously passes the test because she gives her friends a nod of approval before leaving. Barney gets upset when they tell him he's funny and then tell Ted he's cute. The guys go out with the women to "see New York" but things don't turn out the way they hope. Robin and her new boyfriend Gael are dealing with a group of Australian backpackers in her apartment. When they finally reach her last nerve, she finds an inventive way to get them to leave.

Real-life smartypants Danica McKellar's back in this season's fourth episode as Ted's first-season one-night stand - you know, the one who climbed out of his fire escape the morning after. Well, she bumps into him at the bar and apologizes for shagging and running, and then proceeds to set her sights on him anew. But she'll find herself competing for his affections with an old sorority sister of hers - although "competing" might not be the right word since I hear there's some serious threesome potential here.
