So, I never really got into Kingdom Hearts, but this looks wicked.... like an old school Final Fantasy game with next-gen graphics, and Mickey Mouse.

Okay i'm pretty sure it takes place in the past, the main knight is xenahort his eyes turn yellow @ the end when looking into kingdom hearts and the kid knight is roxas or has something to do with him

also the knights have something to do with the organization because in the trailer for kingdom hearts 2 final mix at the end a memeber of the organization goes to some secret chamber and refers to some old armor as "friend"

He was just as direct when Dengeki PlayStation asked for some details on the new title. "First, it's not Kingdom Hearts III. Of course, because we're calling it a 'new' series, it won't be KHIII. Also, it's a series, so it probably won't be just one title."

Nomura once again promised an announcement of the new game, whatever it may be, some time this year. In the meanwhile, he suggested that players attempt to unlock the Final Mix secret movie and start imagining.

The old guy looks like an aged Xenahort so it takes place in the future(besides Xenahort was a scientist before gaining all that power)


and that kid that looks roxxas? Sora's kid

At the TGS, it has been announced that three new KH games are being developed:

KH: 385/2 Days
For the DS
This game tells the story of Roxas, during his time in the Organization.
It also features multiplayer, with other players able to play the other members of the Organization in Adventure or Multiplayer Mode.

KH: Birth by Sleep
For the PSP
Taking place before the other games, it tells the story of the Keyblade Masters before Sora, Riku and Mickey...starring the characters featured in the secret trailer this thread was made for. The characters are Terra (the yellow-eyed guy), Aqua (the girl), Ven (the Roxas-lookalike), and Xehanort.

KH: Coded
For...Mobile Phones
Apparently, this game takes the story from where KH2 left off, following Sora's continued adventures, and what Mickey was doing during the first game.

Trailers should be up soon.

The systems they chose for them actually kind of really piss me off...

PSP games can't be played on a PS2, can they? I bet not... ****ing hell...

I'll probably at least get the one for Nintendo DS (since I actually have one), even though it sounds like the least interesting of the three.

But hey, at least this makes it sound more like these games are along the lines of Sound of Memories than the Core games... The further adventures of Sora will probably just bridge the gap between this and the real Kingdom Hearts 3 (or at least, that's what I am hoping with every fiber of my being.

Also: I think there's a Kingdom Hearts thread somewhere, and Im just going to merge this entire thread with it.

EDIT: Done... Merged a third KH2 thread as well that was less than a page long as well...

I think we should use this thread for general Discussion of the Kingdom Hearts series until we get more information about these demi-sequels... and even then, since I guess less than five people on the board will get them, it might be a good idea to keep this a Kingdom Hearts Series discussion thread at least until we start getting info on the next major-platform KH game.

I think Kingdom Hearts was one of the best games ever made. The basic idea of combining Disney characters with Final Fantasy gameplay is brilliant. However, I thought Kingdom Hearts II was rather weak, and the story was quite convulted. I'm afraid I don't really care for any of these spin-offs.

First of all...thank you very much, Strangefate for merging this.

Second, this is actually the second cell phone game. The first was finished a while back and was made exclusively by Disney.

And yeah, the console choices are disappointing, but I can look forward to the DS game, at least.

EDIT: According to various scources...a 14th member of the Organization is making an appearance in the DS game.
