Street Fighter: The Later Years

Dhalsim: I can't fight anymore. I lost my powers...
Zangief: You mean your 'Yoga This' and 'Yoga That'?

Absolutely hilarious! I love how the story has a genuine affection for the characters, and 'humanizes' them, while still acknowledging the ridiculousness of the premise.

And Bison's commentary is interesting... how Grand Theft Auto style games have become the dominant form of entertainment. Plus, the critiques of Turbo and the film are spot-on.

I'm completely astonished by how good this is. The quality of the acting, the humor, the pacing of the narrative, the story itself... all of it.

I was only a casual Street Fighter 2 player, at best, and I'm totally loving it. This series just keeps getting better, with each installment.

I'm shocked at how much I actually *care* about these characters, who are written for the most part as living, breathing jokes.

This sentence is actually pretty telling of what makes good humor like this series tick --- that the people who are being made into jokes are LIVING and BREATHING personalities, rather than just moving laugh devices acting as humor ex machinas.

Part 5 is up.

Guile and Ken show up.

EDIT: Also my post mysteriously multiplied, can a mod delete the extras?
