Y: The Last Man - series discussion (spoilers)

They talk and Alter reveals that Dr.Mann's father wasn't responsible for the plague....it was the Culper Ring. 355 was just there to make sure Y didn't get to close to the truth.

I hope that was Alter just BSing, because that's a pretty major reveal and the way it was done was very anticlimactic.

Read vol 6 and 7 (Girl on Girl, Paper Dolls) last week both were pretty good.

Though my mom saw the cover for Girl on Girl and asked me if it was porn.

I'm just glad she didn't see the full page of nekkid Yorick in Paper Dolls, that would have been awkward.

I've been reading the series out of order.

I love it, I'm just irritated because I can't find the volumes I haven't read.

Going to go looking tomarrow.

I bought eight volumes of Y the LAst man today.

I have read up to the group of actors in the third volume.

I can see why you guys love this series.

And I think I picked the perfect time to start reading

Phrase of the week for me?

Monkey ****.

And I have a friend who speaks that gibberish language

A lot of girls I knew back in high school spoke it.

Actually, I'm sure a lot of the girls I know now speak it, but I haven't heard it in a few years.

I'm actually nervous about getting this issue.

So much pressure. Will it be a masterpiece or will it be the figment of some retard with a snowglobe?

End to top it all off, its the end of one of Vertigo's greatest series. I am so excited and sad.

I have faith in Vaughan. In every interview about the ending of the series, Vaughan consistently claims he's had the ending planned since the beginning. I doubt he's been maintaining this awesome series the whole run with a crap ending in store. I'm still convinced the cover for #60 is a red herring, to mislead fans. And if he really does end up imagining/hallucinating the whole thing, I fully expect it to be done in an amazing way. We'll see tomorrow, but I have faith.

Nor do I.

This is probably one of the few series I'm honestly really disappointed won't have follow-ups or spin-offs. I just love this world and story so much, I'd eat up any related stories like sugar through a straw. I'm really going to miss new chapters of this story every month (or every other month). Ah well, I'll just give the TPBs a good read through every now and then.
