Okay, saw the first trailer for the new Star Wars series. Yeah, I'm wondering at what point Lucas is going to officially say the original trilogy is now no longer in continuity.

I honestly flinched when when Ashoka mugged at the camera and went "That's my Master". It was like a scene from a bad bondage video.

After the film which was fun but disapointing to me I know what to expect from this. should be fun.

Oh yeah, it debuts 10.03.08, 9PM EST if I read correctly.

[/denial]Lucas most certainly did not put the Genndy cartoon DVDs out of print in order to put this in the spotlight. No, he still has enough respect for others work to know that's a dick move.[denial]

I'd hit that.

It's on right now. Anyone else watching it?

I'll be downloading it when it's available. Unfortunately due to greedy banks ruining the economy and driving up inflation I have been forced to cancel most of our cable so I can, y'know, eat and stuff.

I saw the premiere episodes, just for the heck of it. It was pleasing to not have to see the movie to understand the series, although now I'm a bit curious where Sidekick Girl came from... and where she's going to dissappear to.

They really need to think out this naming process more thoroughly. Now we have Star Wars: Clone Wars the 2-d cartoon series, Star Wars: Clone Wars the 3-d cartoon theatrical film, and Star Wars: Clone Wars the 3-d cartoon series. Wut.

Eh, judging by the first two episodes, the main premise seems to be setting up random situations that result in blasting and slashing things. Star Wars's action sequences always bored me a bit, especially where the prequel trilogy is concerned, so I may not watch this aside from the first few episodes.

Also, Obi Wan's segmented beard freaks me out.

I felt like the clones really shined in these first two episodes.

even though they're really the same guy...i wonder if that ever freaks them out.

First two are up.

I have them downloaded.

I liked them, not a fan of Cree Summer being the voice of Assajj, Cree has one voice "Urban Girl" and it REALLY does not fit Lady Ventress.

It isn't Cree Summers it's Nika Futterman who's doing Assajj's voice. She sounds like Cree but it isn't Cree.

And what do you mean by ''urban''? i mean it's not like she was speaking slang or anything like that.

Just asking btw.

I concur with this.

It's always this scratchy high-pitched girl voice. She basically talks into the mike, rather than make a voice.

Either way it wasn't Cree summers so i don't know what you guys are arguing about.

Eh, I call it "urban girl" cus the first thing I remember Cree doing was Numbah Five on Codename Kids Next Door, and she uses the EXACT same voice for Arachnia on Transformers Animated. It's like a badly stereotypical "black chick" voice. And I'm sure she'll use the same voice for Luminara Unduli as well.

What annoys me is, Nika is apparently channelling her inner Cree as Assajj. I preferred her voice in the previous Clone Wars animated series.

I've only seen a few episodes of this, but I like what I've seen.

I want to see that episode focusing on the clone troopers.

I think the best way to way to keep the timeline consistent is to kill off Ahsoka. Maybe have it lead to Anakin's eventual turn to the Dark Side. "Next time one of my loved ones is in danger, I'll do anything to keep them safe" or something to that effect.

I watched when it first came on...but then after about 6 episodes I became disinterested.

I just can't bring myself to care about this pointless "story" when CN's animated Clone Wars was a million times better.

Agreed.

But at least this is entertaining.

She pretty much would have to die at some point since by the time of the original trilogy isn't Luke and Yoda the last of the Jedi?
