Why not? We have one for regular comics.

Mine are in no particular order:

1)One Piece- The Prison Break arc is great, and it's a nice change for the story to be focused on one character rather than the whole crew. It's the unique characters and varied locals that really make this book stand out from the pack.

2)Psyren- It's like Terminator except replace SKYNET with evil psychics and add in some uncontrollable time traveling, and you have an idea what this book is about. It starts kind of slow but pays off if you stick with it.

3)Kekkaishi- A series that always seems kind of under everyone's radar. Nominally it's about a boy and a girl who protect the holy land their school sits on top of from demons, but the story goes so much deeper than that. Hell, in the last arc the girl was arrested because she killed a god. Well fleshed out characters are what drive this story along and I couldn't be more satisfied.

4)Vinland Saga- An awesome epic about Vikings. If you don't read this then you have no soul.

5)Until Death Do Us Part- It's an awesome action movie in manga form. Blind samurai! Precog little girls! Bleeding edge tech! Hot chicks! You read now!

6)Fairy Tail- As everyone always says "It's 'One Piece' with mages." This is true to an extent, but Fairy Tail has evolved into it's own fun story. My only complaint is that some story arcs seem kind of "by the book", however there is usually some kind of twist that makes things seem fresh.

7)Full Metal Alchemist- I'm sure most of you have read/are reading this, or have seen the anime, so you know how awesome it is. My only regret is that it's not monthly.

8 )Karakuri Circus- A strange manga which occasionally requires a decent amount of suspension of disbelief. It's about people that wield killer marionettes who are after a kid and his two new bodyguards/friends. After the first two arcs (which were pretty good) this manga faltered a bit and didn't seem to know where to go, but with the start of the most recent arc set in France it's gotten awesome, and the end of the last chapter had me going "Oh **** son!". Unfortunately, the releases for this on seem really sporadic.

9)History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi- In essence it's a basic martial arts manga, but what really puts this one ahead of others of it's ilk is how enjoyable the characters are. Strait up fun.

10)Bakuman- A manga about two kids trying to make it big in manga. It manages to be pretty cool even though it's mostly just people talking. Still it's a nice change of pace.

Note: I didn't include things like Pluto or Death Note since I already finished reading them.

Until Death do us Part - Pure Kickass
Veritas - Pure Beatdowns

Fairy Tale - Pure Magical
Alive the Final Evolution - Pure Story Changing
Hellsing - Pure Blood
Souleater - Pure Witchy Souls

Stuff I enjoyed but is over now

Monster - I still need to finish this

I'll participate.

1. Vinland Saga - Words can hardly describe my love for this series. Not even the death of my favorite character puts a damper on it.

2. Bakuman - I had no idea what went into making a manga. Now I know. And knowing is half the battle! Also it's very entertaining.

3. One Piece - This series is the most consistently great weekly action series going right now.

4. Fairy Tale - One Piece with magic. Good stuff.

5. Fullmetal Alchemist - The series is picking up again with the deaths of two major villains and finally watching Mustang and the Armstrong siblings cut loose.

6. Detective Conan - In America it's called Case Closed and the anime is no longer licensed for release. In Japan the series has 674 manga chapters and 524 anime episodes. Haven't read them all, but I thoroughly enjoy what I have seen. Great mystery series.

7. D. Gray-Man - Love this series, but the hiatuses are starting to get to me.

8. Neon Genesis Evangelion - Retelling of the anime with a few small changes here and there. It's getting towards the end and I can't wait to see how they handle that mind**** of an ending.

9. Bleach - Finally getting a little better. I've discovered that I actually tend to enjoy issues in which Ichigo and his buds don't appear.

10. Air Gear - This only makes the list because I only read 11 series. Half the time I have no idea what's going on, but it's still better than Naruto of late.

I miss Pluto. It would have been #2 if it were still going.

You're right this series is infinitely better without Ichigo. That guy Soifon's fighting is nuts!

I never know where anybody is in Air Gear. I still don't know what that Obama appearance was all about.

If only he would die, they could just focus on the 13 guard squads which are actually entertaining.

I'm pretty psyched about that fight.

More so than Hitsugaya vs Boobsblade anyway.

No one knows what's going on in Air Gear, but it looks like it would be interesting if you did know what was going on.

Hell Hitsugaya is more popular than Ichigo anyway, might as well ditch 'em.

I call her Wet'n'Wild. Because...you know...she controls water which is wet, and her lower jaw is just bone, which is pretty wild. Also, she dresses like a skank.

Right!? It's like I think they're skating down the street but then it turns out they're in a giant clock or something. I think it would be easier to figure out if they constantly made one liners about their situation and setting. Like if someone said "Guess what time it is!" I'd be all "Oh they're back in the ****ing clock!".

Bakuman is good and all, but I tend to enjoy it more on a monthly basis than a weekly basis.

It's better if you read a big chunk of it rather than on a weekly.

That's what I'm sayin'.

Christ, Berserk is still going on!? Didn't it start in like 1995?

In no particular order:

One Piece: For reasons described.
Yotsuba&: It's just too much fun and too cute.
Bakuman: For reasons described.
Fairy Tail: For reasons already described.
Azumangah Daioh: I love it to bits. Also they started making new strips as part of the 10 Year anniversary, so it counts as ongoing.
Mahou Sensei Negima: It takes a while for it to find it's stride, but once Evangeline shows up, it turns into a throughly entertaining shonen series with harem undertones and excessive fanservice.
Vinland Saga: I need to catch up with this.
Bleach: There are some problems with the current arc, but I'm still fond of this series. It was one of the first manga I read.
Fullmetal Alchemist: YEAH!
Alive The Final Evolution: A part of me wants to mail a copy to M. Night Shamylan.
Soul Eater: Another one I need to catch up on.

I tried Vinland Saga since that seemed to make everyones list. I wasnt dissapointed. It reminds me of berserk.

1990.

at this rate the creator is going to die before he can finish it.

Yotsuba&: It's just too much fun and too cute.

My favorite Yotsuba story was the one where she pretended she was in a gangster movie.

Another convert!

My God. Well at least he's had steady work.

i started reading Pluto because you guys were recommending it so much.

Im at chapter 41 now. This is great!

I finished Pluto.

It started off really great but IMHO it draged on way to long. Did we really need Epsilon to be introduced that far into the series? Gesicht finding Pluto under the Zaandam flowerfields felt like it should have been the beginning of the end. Instead he gets killed off and we have to wait for Atom to come back to life.

Overall, it's a great manga and I'd certainly recommend it, but it suffers from being streched out over to many issues. I had the same problem with Monster and Deathnote. Sure, they are great manga, but they didnt have to be that long. Stop trying to sell more issues and start wrapping things up!

Also, being dutch I loved seeing amsterdam and zaandam! Thats the first time I've seen my country (and its love for flowers) mentioned in popular culture. Thats right world! It's not just legal weed and prostitution here! We have tulips and canals as well!!!! Yay Holland!

It looks like I only have eight manga I can say I sincerely enjoy that are currently running...

Berserk I think I read through all of Berserk for the first time when I was 16 or 17 years old. And it was the best thing ever. And then, recently, I read it again. And it was still the best thing ever. Really hoping the mangaka gets his schedule in gear, though.

Billy Bat Naoki Urasawa is arguably the most talented writer/artist in manga today. For those of you who liked his other series (Monster, Pluto, 20th Century Boys), I'd highly recommend Billy Bat. It's this really great surreal mystery/conspiracy/historical/suspense series that utilizes Urasawa's talents perfectly. His art continues to be better with every series he does, as well.

Vinland Saga Vinland Saga is a deceptively deep (and historically accurate!) series about Vikings. It manages to be just as powerful, overstated and masculine as Berserk without straying into the same gratuitous, grimy nihilism. Definitely worth a look.

Gantz ...speaking of gratuitous, Gantz probably fits the bill more than any other creative work in history. It's disgusting, pointless, blatant, offensive, unashamed and completely straightfaced. I used to try to grasp at the idea of this series being metaphorical. It's not. It's the mangaka's own sick fantasies put on a page. That said, it's actually pretty fantastic. The characters are all real, three dimensional people who go through incredible development. Also, the plot has kicked into high gear as of late, making it one of my most exciting reads every month.

Bakuman I think most of you are reading this. From the creators of Death Note comes more walls of text. But rather than being walls of text that describe a meta-ethical mystery, these walls of text are a meta-commentary on the manga industry itself. All things considered, most of the walls of text are pretty good (with some slow sections), although I'm getting annoyed with the drawings that sometimes go along with the walls of text becoming increasingly exaggerated and cartoon-y.

Fullmetal Alchemist It's still pretty good, I guess. After rewatching the first anime series, keeping up in the 'Brotherhood' anime and reading the manga, however, I'm starting to get a little tired of FMA. The manga is consistently entertaining, and seemingly has a distinct endpoint in sight.

Ouran High School Host Club Don't look at me like that. I'm not ashamed. Goddammit. Don't judge me.

Vagabond I'm a sucker for cool fight scenes, beautiful art and boring, navel-gazing philosophical tracts. Vagabond has all of these things in spades. Plus, Musashi's development through the series has been phenomenal, even if it's pretty slow. I'm really sad to see that it's nearing an end.

I'm also reading Naruto and Bleach weekly. I really liked Kakashi deciding that he's tired of Sasuke being a psychotic little anarchist and that it's just time to put the brat down (of course, our ever-heroic title character stops him). I also sort of like Aizen kicking the **** out of the entire main cast of Bleach because they're all stupid and I hate them. I don't even care that the writing is unbelievably bad. I just want to see them suffer. Otherwise, though, they both stopped being good a long time ago.

Some highlights of my manga reading career that have now finished/are no longer serialized: Monster, BLAME!, Uzumaki, 20th Century Boys, Death Note, Black Jack, Pluto, Genshiken, Devilman and...probably a couple others that I can't remember off the top of my head.
