I'm a little disappointed that No Ordinary Family was cancelled even though that show was complete and utter bull****.

Also, Mr. Sunshine's cancellation is a nice reminder that Matthew Perry will always be in something that'll be cancelled, constantly proving that producers liked him enough in Friends to put him in things but audiences don't like him in anything but Friends.

I also take great comfort in the cancellation of Chase, The Cape, Perfect Couples and Running Wilde. For no other reason than the fact that those shows completely sucked eggs.

I don't think that's true at all about Matthew Perry - Mr. Sunshine was simply an outrageously mediocre, redundant show. Studio 60 was pretty good overall, but had a terrible and alienating second episode that I think hugely damaged the viewership, and was ultimately too "heavy" for most people who just wanted to tune in for a comedy and not heavy enough for most of the West Wing crowd because of its setting. Even if Perry always plays Chandler(that is, plays himself), if he'd been one of the stars of 30 Rock or something I think it would still be successful.

I wasn't implying that Mr. Sunshine didn't deserve cancellation. In fact, I agree with you: It's simply a lackluster show.

I was simply expressing that I find it noteworthy that producers will take a chance by making a lead out of Matthew Perry and that so far, it hasn't translated into success for him. Still, he's getting paid and an TV actor with better off with regular opportunities than one without.

one of the websites i've been following religiously this week as been http://www.ismyshowcancelled.com/home/ its updated with all things tv show related. with mid season and fall season shows all coming to an end, time to see which show gets the ax or renewed...

some were easy to see coming ((cough) alcatraz (cough))....others not so much

CBS cancelled A Gifted Man : that was some of the best acting and writing on tv... the Rabies episode (In Case of Abnormal Rhythm ) made me sad......

Fox cancelled The Finder : it has Michael Clarke Duncan slap down an angry midget, what more do you need?

and they cancelled Breaking In and Terra Nova

more to come in the next couple of weeks as most shows end and summer shows start

The Finder is a great show and Fox is stupid to cancel it. They put it on a Friday night and wonder why it gets not enough million viewers.

I liked Terra Nova, but I'm not so disappointed since the way it ended, it still works as a series finale too (minus one small detail).

If NBC cancels Parks and Recreation after the fourth season's fantastic finale then I'm going to have to kill a *****.

You mean the same guys that canceled Arrested Development, Firefly and Keen Eddie? You know at least when NBC went through the whole Leno/Conan debacle and Southland was the one to get the axe, at least NBC had the decency to let the producers option it to other studios.

I'm gonna get yelled at here.

IT is known I'm am not a fan of this show. But I have watched it the last year, and it has it's merits and is a good show. But I think it should end.

You are always mentioning how American TV milks a show until it is nothing more than a husk of the same jokes over and over again (i.e. American Office). You claim American shows rarely have complete story arcs and whatnot.

The reason why I mention that is everyone on this show has grown in this year, and the years before. They have a complete story arc, everyone has shown what type of character they are, and where they are going to be in the future. It would be the perfect series finale.

There is a difference between five seasons of a show and eight. I think Parks and Recreation still has enough life in it for a fifth season - Leslie has to continue her rise into local government, Andy has to become a police officer, Ann has to figure out her life etc. If Amy Poehler left the show and then it continued then I would be against it getting another season. I think five seasons, not eight or even nine (like The Office), is a perfect length for this show.

This is all moot anyway because NBC did renew it for a fifth season.

ABC did cancel Missing with Ashley Judd, I was hoping it would come back for a second season with a whole new cast and brand new location.

They had to shut off the finder because Michael Clark Duncan died. This was more out of respect than ratings though because from what I understand it was pretty popular but I could be totally wrong

Even though no ordinary family was kinda cheeses I liked it. One show I was really mAd about them taking off though was the finder as I said before but I undertand why
