Arrowverse / DC-CW Timeline (v 3.0)

Did anyone get the impression that tonight's episode of Batwoman took place concurrently with Elseworlds, Part 1?

What makes you think that? Did I miss something?
Sorry. Someone on a DC Discord group tried to convince me that it was and I finally asked him "Why? How was it concurrent?" and I've haven't gotten a response...It was probably a stretch on his part.

Okay he responded now that I checked. He said it had to do with the shot at the end with Kate Kane standing on Wayne Tower.

Just finished Arrow 6x21 "Docket 11-19-41-73" and Felicity mentions that she and Oliver were married on November 28th. The current placement for this is November 29th. This would place Barry and Iris's original wedding as being on the 26th rather than the 27th, which to me works better anyway given that it makes more sense they would marry on a Sunday rather than a Monday.

Also in Arrow 6x23 "Life Sentence", we can briefly see the date when Quentin is signing the authorization letter to the FBI, showing the episode's airdate (May 17th).

Interesting. Despite being destroyed in Smallville: Season 11, Earth-13 and Earth-37 were somehow still active in recent episodes of The Flash and Arrow.

I guess somehow after 2012 they were restored? IIRC, Earths can be restored through rare means in the comics. Plus, anti-matter had nothing to do with Earth-13 and Earth-37's original destruction. They just crashed into each other. I guess Mar Novu restored them since he seems to be the head honcho of the Monitor race currently.

I would guess if anti-matter destroys an Earth/universe, it cannot be restored by any means.

I suspect that the Crisis writers just aren't paying particularly close attention to the Season 11 comics, whatever they may have said on Twitter or what have you. But isn't it the case that Smallville's Earth numbering system assumes that the Smallville Earth is Earth 1? So Earth 13 and Earth 37 would have different numbers from Arrow Earth 1 or 3's perspective, probably. Or they weren't taken into account at all in that system, since it only came into use after they were already destroyed.

The Season 11 comics confirmed/clarified that the characters from Smallville's "Earth-1" and "Earth-2" wrongfully assumed those Earth numbers due to their lack of knowledge of the multiverse. Even the Monitors in those comics never called them "Earth-1" or "Earth-2". Their actual numbers are unknown and never said. Officially.

So Earth 13 and Earth 37 would have different numbers from Arrow Earth 1 or 3's perspective, probably. Or they weren't taken into account at all in that system, since it only came into use after they were already destroyed.

Again, Marc Gugginheim has a lot of control over the Arrowverse, and has a massive amount of continuity knowledge. He even acknowledged that he knew that the Kent Farm was kept and no longer for auction in the Season 11 comic's 1st arc; which is why the Kent Farm is returning in the Crisis crossover.

So is it now confirmed that Batwoman 1×04 and following will take place after Elseworlds?

I'd usually be excited by this, but... The Flash, Supergirl, DC's Legends of Tomorrow, Black Lightning (potentially), Batwoman, Green Arrow and the Canaries and Superman & Lois? How is this going to be affordable?

Personally, I'd prefer shorter seasons.

The first four you listed may not make it past 2021.

It's actually cheaper to make a new show than continuing an existing series; as cast costs tend to go up each year. It does make sense for them to get some more spin-offs going as replacements for the older shows.

That being said, though, Supernatural and Smallville both had incredibly long runs on this network, every IP holder is doubling down on content, and superhero shows don't seem to be dwindling in popularity, so who knows. Maybe all these shows can coexist. The TV world is the new comic rack, apparently. All I know for sure is that it'll take me five more years to catch up on these things.

Well, as long as existing storylines are completed, I'm not all to bothered by cancellations if we're getting new introductions to other characters. Just have other characters cameo and show up for an episode or two, expanding the universe while providing fan service for loyal viewers, and I'll be fine.

You can say that again! 3 more Seasons of Smallville left for me.

"Down Down Down" ending vs. "Elseworlds, Part 1" ending

Soo, is the Batwoman timeline like this?

Batwoman 1x01 - 1x03
Elseworlds crossover
Batwoman 1x04 - 1x07/08
Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover
Batwoman 1x08/09 - 1x22

?

Okay thanks, so I'll re-watch the Elseworlds crososver then!

Question: currently I haven't seen Batwoman 1×04 but is there a little time jump between 1×03 and 1×04?

Also, we can now assume that from 1×04, Batwoman met Green Arrow, Flash, Supergirl and now them?

Neither have I.

Caroline Dries says that it's 1×04 that caught up Elseworlds...

So which is the correct order for Elseworlds? Between Batwoman 1×03 and 1×04 (because we saw Batwoman in the exact same position in the roof in both 1×03 and Elseworlds, Part 1) or between Batwoman 1×04 and 1×05 (because Dries said)?

Must be after 1x04 then.
