Arrowverse / DC-CW Timeline (v 3.0)

Maybe it's perfectionism but in the viewing order you forgot the line in "Earth-Prime" for Earth-Prime #2 and #3 :p

Also, Earth-Prime #5 with two chapters for The Flash was just released Tuesday, but maybe you already knew it!
 
Ray Palmer's line in the most recent The Flash episode about having a drink with Nate implies the Legends weren't arrested by the time cops yet and are still having their weekly Wednesday meet ups so we are BEFORE the Legends finale in the timeline.
 
What are the chances Gotham Knights could be a prequel to Batwoman, set in 2015?

The Stephanie Brown being younger works but Bruce being dead and outed as Batman conflicts heavily with that....unless Bruce is faking his death and Gotham City is fooled into once again believing that he isn't the Batman somehow.

I mean...I won't add it here mind you. Just my theory.

When we'll see how Gotham is in this series, we could assume if it's in the Arrowverse Gotham or not!
Maybe it would be a very different Gotham with different architectures?
 
Superman & Lois s2 finale spoilers:
"The only person we have on this planet is your father!"
i.e Superman. 100% an alternate timeline.

EDIT: The showrunner said in an interview it's another Earth. Interesting. But we'll have to find out next year if there's more to that.

TBH, with the higher budget, effects, etc it always felt weird it was supposed to be a part of Earth-Prime. Especially with the lack of reference to other heroes, especially Kara. I know some will probably be upset, but I'm fine with this decision given crossovers (besides Diggle) didn't seem like they were ever going to happen anyway. Plus this makes both Earths less convoluted. For example, the Fortress of Solitude.

It does suck some given the show was originally clearly meant to be a part of Earth-Prime, but I'm sure Covid changed a lot. There are still some inconsistencies since Clark & Lois were obviously supposed to be the same, but it is what it is.
 
The writing's probably been on the wall for awhile now, but I'm not gonna lie, it is disappointing. (Doesn't take away from the fact that the show is fantastic--I'm looking forward to starting season 2 when it comes to HBO Max.) But at least we know where we stand now. I would have liked some kind of explicit Earth number (maybe this is the new Earth-38?) or acknowledgment/appearance of the original Superman, Supergirl, and Lois Lane, but it doesn't sound like it would have fit in the story they're telling this season. I hope they continue to retain some of the existing casting. (Jon Cryer's Lex Luthor is now a blank slate over here, and IMO there's still room for a late-arrival Kara cameo.)

I'm a bit confused about what this means for the recent Earth Prime Superman and Lois appearances. Is this now the only appearance of the full Earth Prime Kent family? Or is that issue self contained enough to be set on this Earth?

I knew they couldn't keep all the Arrow multiverse plates spinning forever, but it's extremely bittersweet to know that Crisis was the high point of the interconnections between all the CW shows when the creation of Earth Prime seemed like just the beginning.

So, how we gonna handle that? Move Superman & Lois to Non-Arrowverse timelines or note it as a separate earth? Who knows? Maybe it's the new Earth-38.

Also, I imagine Earth-Prime #2 is set on Earth-S&L.

I wouldn't unbake the cake by moving the show to a different timeline thread, since it seems like the show isn't dropping its CWmultiverse ties, just redefining them. It seems increasingly unlikely at this point, but it's possible they'll crossover into Earth Prime if the show continues past Season 3 and this becomes the only conduit to look back at the legacy Arrowverse characters. I'd treat it like the pre-crisis Black Lightning/Supergirl episodes.
(Might be an argument for moving the 1990s Flash back into this thread, since it's sort of in a similar situation, but that's another ball of wax.)
 
I'll be removing S&L from the timeline later today. It will be moved to the Non-Arrowverse timelines thread for now, until we know more about it's Earth or if we find out it's some alternate timeline created by Brainiac in season four or whatever.

But for now, I'll be removing it here shortly.

1. They definitely did this because the Arrowverse is ending and they wanted to distance themselves from that continuity. Diggle has to stay because he was already introduced in S1.

2. Superman & Lois doesn't seem that different than the other DC movies and shows that crossed over with the Arrowverse. I mean, Black Lightning and Supergirl were distinguished as Arrowverse specifically over the rest because they were directly merged into the same universe. Prior to Crisis, I considered The Flash (1990-1991) Arrowverse because it wasn't distinguishable from Supergirl since that wasn't technically set in the primary Arrowverse world.

It connects to the Arrowverse only through referencing the aftermath of Crisis and the Earth-Prime comic since the alternate evil Superman is brought to Earth-Prime. But, you could say the same about most of the crossovers, specifically Green Lantern (2011), Superman (1978-2006) and Stargirl. Just my view. If it starts to connect back with the Arrowverse then sure, I don't mind it being connected.

So, Superman is the only hero on that reality, although John Diggle worked alongside Oliver. I assume Oliver Queen is/was an existing hero but is considered a vigilante and Superman is the only known superpowered hero. Maybe Bruce Wayne is still active in that reality. Imagine Warren Christie on the show as Batman, lol. I'm personally considering this the new Earth-38 in the same way Earth-2 could be considered the new Earth-3.

But in the Earth-Prime comics, who is the Superman? Earth-38/Prime Superman or Earth-SL Superman?

Thanks, but there's still the "Superman & Lois" in the second volume?

Then it's absolutely not canon to Superman & Lois and the series has zero link to the Arrowverse except the actors?
 
Earth-Prime #2 is set in Earth-S&L. The Superman seen in the final issue is a continuation of the Earth-38/Prime version.
