If that screenshot does not work - I asked if the Riddler looks like Martin Short?

Reply - Its more complicated than you might think - but will make sense in the end!

It's gonna be like Batman Hush animated film probably and there's a Riddler imposter?

Maybe but considering we just had a book with a Joker imposter I wonder if he would repeat the idea. Sure the Joker was dead and motivations would be different… not sure.

Maybe Edward Nygma is just using this other guy as surrogate.

edit regardless of who that is in Arkham in Echos that is years in the future. Curious how specific this will be. Without restricting future stories. Whether in another book or more comics.

So Batman 89 Echos #6 is finally out. With the long delays I have been mostly skimming issues after buying each. With the plan to read the whole thing at once. But now that it's all out I am completely indifferent to the whole thing.

As people who have written full reviews have said, it's impossible to look at all this and ignore the long delays. Which we have gotten no explanations for at all! Maybe if the actual content was incredible it would be easier to overlook. Yet it's mediocre at best. Reading the overall opinions on this and the novel I use to think I was much more forgiving than most. But seeing this last issue has changed my mind. Whatever the goals of Sam Hamm or John Jackson Miller I have this undefinable suspicion that someone at DC said "let's get as many villains in these things as possible".
Anyways.... got that off my chest.

Not a serious suggestion, just curios...

Is it even remotely possible for the Superman Anthology and Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman to be in the same universe, depicting the same characters? Or are there hard no-headcanon contradictions?

Again, not suggesting to merge them, just a thought I had

Yeah... nah. Not possible.

Technically it's alright though, there's different sequels to Batman Returns so both versions of Superman can be canon for different Batman '89 universes.

Sorry, I need to verify if my understanding is correct:

Pre-Crisis Earth-89: Burtonverse
Pre-Crisis Earth-96: Donnerverse
Post-Crisis Earth-96: Donnerverse (merged with Burtonverse), aka Earth-789 in comics multiverse
Flashpoint Earth-89: The Flash
Post-Flashpoint Earth-?: The Flash (ending), Post-Flaspoint DCEU movies

My interpretation:

Earth-89
Batman 1-4
Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman (possibly)
Catwoman

Earth-96
Superman 1-5
Supergirl
Batman 1-2
Human Target (possibly)

DCEU Flashpoint
Batman 1-2 (Alt.)
The Flash

DCEU Post-Flashpoint
Batman 1-4 (Alt.)
The Flash

My interpretation:

Earth-89
Batman 1-4
Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman (possibly)
Catwoman

Earth-96
Superman 1-5
Supergirl
Batman 1-2
Human Target (possibly)

DCEU Flashpoint
Batman 1-2 (Alt.)
The Flash

DCEU Post-Flashpoint
Batman 1-4 (Alt.)
The Flash
I think itvwould make more sense if Pre-Crisis Earth-96 and Earth-89 merged, similar to Earth-38 and Earth-1, and that altered past is the reason f.e. Lois & Co. of Earth-96 aren't dead in 2019

And why did you exclude Blue Beetle + Lost Kingdom from DCEU Post-Flashpoint? Thought they are confirmed to be set in here

Here's my interpretation:

Earth-89 (AKA Earth-789)
Burtonverse
Donnerverse
Human Target
Catwoman
The Goonies
Barney Miller
Fish

Earth-96
Donnerverse (potentially altered)
Superman Returns

Earth-97
Burtonverse (potentially altered)
Schumacherverse
Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman

Earth-203
Burtonverse (potentially altered)
Birds of Prey

Flashpoint DCEU
Burtonverse (potentially altered)
The Flash

Post-Flashpoint DCEU
Burtonverse (potentially altered)
Schumacherverse (potentially altered)
The Flash (ending)
(Not sure about Blue Beetle and Aquaman 2)

I am aware that Earth-97 was said as a joke, but I used to to explain the Batman '89 comics not lining up

Feel free to correct me if I made any mistakes here. Again, this is just my personal interpretation

Earth-96
Superman 1-5
Supergirl
Batman 1-2
Human Target (possibly)
Is it officially confirmed anywhere that Earth-789 is the same as Earth-96 or is that just an assumption? I know that a Bruce Wayne "cameos" in Superman '78 but is it officially stated to be the same world because I feel they wouldn't contradict pre-established canon from TV's Crisis.

Earth-789 specifically states Batman '89 and Superman '78 (comics) are canon in Dark Crisis: Big Bang. Batman '89 isn't canon to Crisis' Earth-89 because they stated that Bat-Nipples are canon to that world.

Since Superman I-IV are supposed to be canon to Earth-96, and Superman '78 is set between Superman II and Superman III, Batman '89 logically makes more sense to be in Earth-96 (since the Burtonverse includes Batman Forever and Batman & Robin).

But are the Superman '78 comics also in Earth-96 or could they be an alternate continuity like Batman '89? It seems to me that they're trying to retell/reinvent the stories of the less successful 3rd and 4th films after a very popular 2nd film in both franchises.

It is confirmed to be set between the films. The writer said it on a podcast once. It was also stated elsewhere. I heard it with my own ears.
