Alien vs. Predator - Timeline

TV Tropes:
The game contains numerous shout-outs to the movie Outland, which shared the same Cassette Futurism aesthetic as Alien and is often treated by fans as a Shared Universe. These include the specific mention of a mine on Io, and descriptions of miners' accommodations on mining stations and zero-gravity vacuum cells are both exactly like those in Outland. The Colonial Marines Operations Manual goes a step further and introduces a Colonial Marshals vessel called the O'Niel.

I suppose this would be one of the reasons Outland is apparently considered shoehorn canon to the Role-Playing Game. I guess it's an interesting reference.
When is Outland supposed to be set?

When is Outland supposed to be set?
It doesn't have a year. Suppose it is set in the Alien timeline, I did do some thinking about that while ago.

Outland Timeline
-Hypersleep Chambers exist. They were apparently invented in 2030 according to Alien lore.

-They don't use FTL travel to get back to Earth. FTL travel was discovered in 2032 according to Alien lore, but the first ship to utilise it was invented in 2035.

-Paul's (O'Niel's son) actor is age 14 in 1981, so let's assume that he's 14 in the movie. He has never been to Earth before. Presumably, they arrived on Lo before he was born and probably used a hypersleep chamber.

To lower the chances of FTL travel being widely used during the time of the movie, we should minimise how far into the future the movie is. They probably arrived on Lo sometime after 2030, and it took them one year to get there, so 2031. Paul would be conceived by the following year, 2032, plus 14 years means 2046. However, it likely took a few years before they slept to Lo, so we'll say 5-10 years perhaps, and we have 2051-2056. So, about 2053 I guess? It's really a complete estimate though, and some of the implied technology of Blade Runner could suggest differently, but that's my placement. Fitting right between Underwater and Marvel's Predator comics.
Honestly, anywhere from 2030 to 2060 sounds okay. It's very undefined.

I think the Blade Runner novels might be a separate continuity. It's unclear.

Oh They made a new section for the novels... Tho they did one for Soldier, so it's till unclear.

BTW will the Wayland Industries Timeline be added as well?

Nah, I've instead just added a link to it. If we add tiny paragraphs for in-universe website pages, it'd never end. That's only one page, can you imagine the whole thing? Anyway, that's why I removed that.
maybe you could addd it to the viewing order and since it's an in-universe website, there's no need to place it in the proper timeline.

the last event in the timeline is in 2073, so ig that you could place it after last hunt #4

Apparently Outland has loose connections/references/easter eggs to some other things, including Terminator.

Maybe... but Peter Hyams including Con-Am in a bunch of things, to me, seems like it should be the same version of the company. Discounting any Alien connections here, of course. If you do, then only Outland is loosely connected and the rest are just tacked on.
