i specifically don't want them to touch bc i want a more 'fantastic' batman. TAS would be an awesome inspiration

If a man can train for around 10 years and come back dressed like a bat with high tech and not get arrested, in the same world where a Superman can exist, you have to make that Batman 'fantastical' and almost superhuman.

not to mention the sliding timeline of the batman, theyll probably retcon the movie and penguin into being in 2027 or whenever they set part 2 lol

Dynamic Duo is supposedly being rewritten and some are theorizing it might be DCU canon now.

We'll see, haven't seen that confirmed yet. It would condense Batman's career timeline in the DCU.

this isn't a given? i thought so far the penguin and the batman are the only elseworld movie/shows rn. also, i hope a batman movie of some kind (him as a lead character) happens sometime soon, by 2028. i'm really excited to see the new iteration. for context, please refer to my profile picture

Batman in his mid-30s in the DCU by now would be the right age range IMO.
