They made a joke about Zootopia porn that lasted a few seconds. It's just a dumb thing that was referenced. Dumb, yeah, but not really a huge reason of why the show is bad.
https://www.polygon.com/23220251/resident-evil-season-1-ending-netflix/A few seconds or not, it quite literally established that this show was definitely NOT it. I'm sorry, but I'm not changing my mind on the show.
The worst part? The show makes the Anderson movies look more faithful (yes, even with all their problems). Yes, seriously!
I heard the show ends with a zombie apocalypse how could that gel with the game timeline? I'm not saying it isn't canon but I do find it oddhttps://www.forbes.com/sites/paulta...tine-claire-redfield-to-join/?sh=6f68586475e5
See, Resident Evil Village is canon to the show.
Regardless, the film coming out later this year I'm sure will be canonical.
It is, indeed. Likely, the timeline branches after Village.I heard the show ends with a zombie apocalypse how could that gel with the game timeline? I'm not saying it isn't canon but I do find it odd
At that point I'd just say it's its own canon then. I think from the quotes it's equally possible they're just saying the canon universe's events all happened in the show universe but the show is not inversely canon to the game universe. I guess you could say it's like the TVA comics having the Loki show as canon but the MCU not having the TVA comic or the Comics Multiverse in general as part of it's canon (I disagree on the TVA thing and think it's all one big Multiverse but it's the only thing I could use as a comparison so I played devil's advocate there)It is, indeed. Well, its own canon still involves every single game except the latest one. Even taking what you're saying into account, that still means someone would have to play almost every Resident Evil game to get the full story of the Netflix series. At that point I'd just say it's its own canon then. Yeah I'm in agreement with you there. But they're still 2 separate universes by the implication there. Which I think is fine. I think the show runners should be allowed to build off the existing canon and not have to adapt everything again, while simultaneously not being held back by any future entries.Well, its own canon still involves every single game except the latest one. Well, it's not like they got a chance to.Yeah I'm in agreement with you there. But they're still 2 separate universes by the implication there. Which I think is fine. My argument is simply that, officially, that timeline is pretty much identical. Whether the new game acknowledges it or not doesn't matter.Yeah I'm in agreement with you there. But they're still 2 separate universes by the implication there.
I did say this earlier.Even if the TV show isn't canon to the new game, officially, every single game is canon to the TV show up to Village officially speaking. In other words, someone playing the games would have to choose between the show and Resident Evil Requiem after completing Village. Those kinds of errors I would just take as minor ****-ups. (Wow, there's censorship on this site now?)
Except that Wesker was always a black man in the Netflix show's timeline (even up to his original death), as opposed to being white in the games? It is, indeed. Likely, the timeline branches after Village.
That's very dumb, I'll admit. It's a visual inconsistency. I mean, the series technically does that with every remake. Live-action Resident Evil intro or pre-rendered cutscene? Hey, I'm not the idiot who made the show as a sequel to the games but then decided to cast a black man to play a canonically white person. Maybe Wesker just has a super secret race-changing power and can become the beloved Lance Reddick, rest in piece.Except that Wesker was always a black man in the Netflix show's timeline (even up to his original death), as opposed to being white in the games?
... and no, this isn't me disrespecting the late Lance Reddick, since his Wesker is one of the few good parts of the show, apparently.
There's serveral lines of dialogue referencing Leon being there.Well, a file says that
Operation Javier only had one survivor: Krauser and that him got abandoned by the USA government. Given that Darkside Chronicles ends with Krauser, Leon and Manuela leaving in a USA government helicopter I guess that the Darkside Chronicles are no longer canon
