Given the presence of Lara Croft in the TCU, wouldn't that also bring Tomb Raider in as Canon?
Yes.

I'd assume just the Top Cow TR comics would count in that case since those specific comics don't tie into the games
Yes, agreed. I'd say it depends on if Dynamite and Top Cow are the same universe or if this is just shared between the two universes.

If I'm being honest I think I'm going to leave this forum permanently. I've said most of what I think needed correcting here first but also primarily... I don't want to be here when the place allows things like that one guy here to post Generative AI breakdowns constantly or whatever I don't want to be a part of a site that tolerates gen AI

I get that last bit, actually. I know what you mean. I try to avoid talking about it because confrontations and what not.

There's a few different threads on here that deal with Disney canon Star Wars, and I'm not really sure which one to ask it on, so I'll just ask here.
In Maul: Shadow Lord, there's a scene where Maul is in an area where a lot of dust of blowing around him. In this dust, he sees many flashbacks, a few of which are completely unique to the show. Since these are shown happening, with the dust blowing around them, would they be placed where the flashback originally takes place, or kept with the rest of that scene? (Or both?)

If this means a new Braindead story releases, then that's another installment of Peter Jackson's Skull Island universe technically.

I know that the in-universe King Kong tie-in book had Skull Island sink to the bottom of the ocean before Braindead, but a web series tie-in to an Orlando theme park had that get revealed to be an exaggeration/cover-up so it actually still works.

You gonna add the comics/games onto here eventually? Asking as I'm getting back into the series, so am curious how they all fit in.

@Pro Bot Dunno if you plan to do a Planet of the Apes timeline thread, but I've been looking into the games/comics/novels, primarily for the reboot series, and figured I might share my findings in case you wanna add them to the timeline you did a while back:
  • Rise of the Planet of the Apes is a prequel comic set before Rise of the Planet of the Apes and showing Bright Eyes (Caesar's mother) before her capture.
  • Dawn of the Planet of the Apes: Firestorm is set between Rise and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. No idea on dates, though, since I haven't been able to read it.
  • Dawn of the Planet of the Apes: Contagion is set between Rise and Dawn. No dates, unfortunately, but the Simian Flu is already spreading, and human civilisation is beginning to collapse.
  • Dawn of the Planet of the Apes #1-6 is, again, set between Rise and Dawn. Maurice mentions "two winters" passing, likely placing it in 2018.
  • Planet of the Apes (2023) #1-5 is set between Rise and Dawn, but has a MASSIVE continuity error by placing the events of Rise in 2011, as opposed to 2016. If we ignore that error and keep the four-year timeskip, this would be set in 2020 instead.
  • Crisis on the Planet of the Apes is apparently five years after Rise, making it 2021.
  • Before the Dawn of the Apes is a three-part miniseries set during the ten years between Rise and Dawn, but like PotA 2023, it has the unfortunate continuity error of being set in 2011 as opposed to 2016.
  • Before the Dawn is set before Dawn and seems to be a brief retelling of events after Rise.
  • Invasion of the Planet of the Apes is a Malaysian theme park dark ride set directly after Dawn, and teasing the events of War for the Planet of the Apes.
  • War for the Planet of the Apes: Revelations seems to be directly after Dawn, also setting up the events of War.
  • War for the Planet of the Apes #1-4 is set between Dawn and War. Haven't had a chance to read yet for dates.
  • Planet of the Apes: Last Frontier is said to be a year after Dawn, placing it in 2027.
  • Planet of the Apes: Caesar's Story is set after War and is an in-universe retelling of events from Rise, Dawn, and War, all from Maurice's retrospective.
  • Planet of the Apes: The Simian Age and Planet of the Apes: The Time of Man are both anthology one-shots that contain stories set in both the original and reboot eras. Of the stories in these comics, these are the ones set in the reboot era:
    • "Cloud and Rain" from The Simian Age is set between Rise and Dawn, due to Koba being present.
    • "Mountain" from The Time of Man is set after War, with one character mentioning it being five years since, placing it in 2033.
Hope this helps.

- In Planet of the Apes (2001), they're partially hiding from the virus in space, I suppose. They've apparently been in space for two years, somehow. Maybe they lie to the crew though, I don't know. It'd still be better in a post-Battle timeline but... meh. It's fine I guess... perhaps orbiting in space somehow brought them into the near future and the live message the main character received was in the past Earth-time but only reached the spaceship after many years. See, you can make it work! 😭

- The 2503 New York picture was actually a French proposal in 1966. Maybe the 2503 part of the book was doctored and they used this image.

Not sure how many Western fans we have on here, but I'm about to do a deep dive into "The Man With No Name" universe. It is my theory that the majority of Clint Eastwood's western films are connected and he's playing the same guy in all of them, just taking on different roles and names depending on his situation.

Here is my chronological order of the films (have not watched through this to check for errors/issues yet, but I will be).

Not sure if this was right place to put this or not. New Star Trek : Timelines book from DK coming in November. Nice surprise. There has been nothing close to this since Star Trek First Contact come out. Those chronology books is what got me into the idea of fictional timelines in the first place. Here is a video interview with the four authors this will be as canonical and official as something like this ever can be. It's going into everything alternate timelines, time travel, the Kelvin Universe. It's good that something so expansive has 4 authors. You can tell they are careful to answer too many questions yet. Not surprising some of their choices will be greatly debated among fans. šŸ˜‰

Really cool idea!
