@JudgeDreddpoolThis image had been brought up before in regards to Cujo and Spawn before. But it also features Edward from Twilight so uhhhhh I guess that series counts now? Also if you look closely at the text in the zombies picture you can see the famous quote from Romero's Dawn of the Dead. Obviously dawn shouldn't count because the Dead series leads to an apocalypse but still interesting to mention

I'll admit, I completely forgot that sh*t.
How does that work exactly? The Wise Man is still alive in Ashes 2 Ashes, and tells Ash how he got to his time. Sheila also still has both her hands. Forever's 1300 doesn't fit pre-Ashes 2 Ashes 1300. The only way I can see it work is if the Ash who goes to the cabin at the end of Forever is the one who creates the Ashes 2 Ashes timeline, not the one who goes through the vortex.Army of Darkness: Forever led into the theatrical cut ending after Ash went through the vortex. After this, Ashes 2 Ashes occurs... then, somehow, 23 years pass before we get to Shop Till You Drop Dead. Blah blah blah, 818793 stories play out until The Long Road Home storyline. Ash rewrites the timeline so everything after Army of Darkness didn't happen, and in 2008 he forgets his Chosen One destiny.
The events of Army of Darkness: Forever get erased (the entire Director's Cut reality, in fact), and also, the Ashes 2 Ashes Wise Man comes from before any of those 1300 events from Forever happen. How does that work exactly? The Wise Man is still alive in Ashes 2 Ashes, and tells Ash how he got to his time. Sheila also still has both her hands. Forever's 1300 doesn't fit pre-Ashes 2 Ashes 1300. The only way I can see it work is if the Ash who goes to the cabin at the end of Forever is the one who creates the Ashes 2 Ashes timeline, not the one who goes through the vortex.
Alright. And to clear any confusion, does your timeline imply that Ash and Linda in Ashes 2 Ashes go to the cabin on October 9 instead of October 8?Basically, it's no different than how I explained Ash experiencing Ash and the Army of Darkness despite 1300 events not lining up with Dynamite's storyline. He creates a new timeline and eventually returns to his own world, similar to Ash vs Evil Dead's 1982 timeline.
You don't mean Cut Rite, do you? I wouldn't have thought that was part of a chain (not to put too fine a point on it).In Silent Hill 2 there's a shop that appears in chainsaw massacre. Theres also a reference to Bill from silence of the lambs.
Yeah that's the store. You don't mean Cut Rite, do you? I wouldn't have thought that was part of a chain (not to put too fine a point on it).
Separate adaptations, since the first movie is an adaptation of the first game, the second is a loose adaptation of Silent Hill 3, and the most recent one is an adaptation of Silent Hill 2. At best, separate universes (video games and movies).Well. I looked into the connections you mentioned.
The spelling of Silent Hill's "Cut-Rite Chainsaws" in Silent Hill, differs from North Texas's Cut-Rite Chain Saws in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Part 2, but I think the intent is clear. Evidently Cut-Rite had prospered and expanded between 1986 and 1999, extending as far north as Maine.
Apparently both the first and second games directly refer to "Bill," i.e., 'Buffalo Bill' from
Silence of the Lambs, via old newspapers modeled after the film. So this is a reference to the film series, not the novel series or the Fullerverse television series.
I don't really know the Silent Hill franchise very well at all. I understand the games are in continuity with each other. Does anyone know if the movies are compatible with the games, or if they are separate adaptations?
OK. So for our purposes, what we have is two continuities with viable connections to the Slasherverse: the Silent Hill video-game series and the Silence of the Lambs film series.Separate adaptations, since the first movie is an adaptation of the first game, the second is a loose adaptation of Silent Hill 3, and the most recent one is an adaptation of Silent Hill 2. At best, separate universes (video games and movies).
