Here it is for anyone curious.
To each their own! It's all fiction anyway haha I say HAVE FUN with it. I think I'll be doing something similar with Transporter: Refueled. I just haven't figured out how to make all four of those fit in the same timeline yet.For me, if I was gonna merge everything, every Bond from 1-20 is the same guy... then 21-25 is the weird brainwashing/codename/coincidental name situation. Whatever you prefer. That's just me, though.![]()
Genuinely though, I have no idea how that would even work. Especially with other Felix Leiters and Blofeld. For me, if I was gonna merge everything, every Bond from 1-20 is the same guy... then 21-25 is the weird brainwashing/codename/coincidental name situation. Can't he just be the same guy and it's a sequel? To each their own! It's all fiction anyway haha I say HAVE FUN with it. I think I'll be doing something similar with Transporter: Refueled. I just haven't figured out how to make all four of those fit in the same timeline yet.
I really hate re-casts....if it's possible at all to reconcile them into a shared title/name, I will go with that. Even though we are told "it's the same guy", nobody really buys that. It destroys suspension of dis-belief. Even in the MCU, we still say Norton's Hulk and Ruffalo's Hulk instead of just "Hulk".Genuinely though, I have no idea how that would even work. Especially with other Felix Leiters and Blofeld. The two Ms that cross between the two eras are really the main connection and I don't know how to rationalise that.
Can't he just be the same guy and it's a sequel?I mean, the TV show is a sequel and that's got a different actor too.
In a world of superspies, codenames are a thing and provide the best explanation for me anyway.Genuinely though, I have no idea how that would even work. Oooh... well, that's never been a problem for me so I can't relate.I really hate re-casts....if it's possible at all to reconcile them into a shared title/name, I will go with that. Ehhh, I prefer the whole "Bond is just a codename" theory, especially if you factor in the theory of M in the newer films being an elderly Emma Peel. For me, if I was gonna merge everything, every Bond from 1-20 is the same guy... then 21-25 is the weird brainwashing/codename/coincidental name situation. They all have the same wife (why would Bond visit a different Bond's wife's grave?), are reminiscent of their previous adventures in other actor's movies, and are treated as the same individual by other characters.Ehhh, I prefer the whole "Bond is just a codename" theory, especially if you factor in the theory of M in the newer films being an elderly Emma Peel.
Ehhh, I don't agree with it. The theory I saw was something about how each Bond was largely paying respects to the late wife of the Second Bond as a rite of passage or something. They all have the same wife (why would Bond visit a different Bond's wife's grave?), are reminiscent of their previous adventures in other actor's movies, and are treated as the same individual by other characters.
Except I'm not talking about TLoXG universe.Emma Peel is only M in the continuity of the A League of Extraordinary Gentlemen comics, but Bond is a bad guy in those.![]()
Glad I'm not alone. Here's a write up I generated using Grok.Ehhh, I prefer the whole "Bond is just a codename" theory, especially if you factor in the theory of M in the newer films being an elderly Emma Peel.
