Re: Annihilation Event

should we talk about Conquest here or should we start another thread?

well did anyone else pick up the prologue? i thought it was awesome lots of action and Star-Lord was great, i just can't bring myself to give a damn about Quasar-Vell though, the Phalanx are an interesting choice for the bad guys though there better be some explanation though because aren't they just some anti-mutant people that infected themselves with the T-O virus?

anyway i think it's cool that there using the phalanx to be something alot like the borg (i know that the technarchy came before the borg but whatever)

as a fan of Annihilation, i have to say this looks alot more action packed but a little less interesting because i just dont care about wraith or quasar

Re: Annihilation Event

I think it should be in its own thread

A friend of mine had an interesting idea for the new character Wraith.

It could be Rom, of the Space Knights

Far as I remember they were actually a full blown alien race. Wonder if Warlock/Douglock will appear here. I'd like to see Ego too. I was pleasantly surprised by the first event, and will be getting it all in HC soon. Judging from the strength of the prologue, this one's shaping to be just as good.

And although I still won't be reading this, I do however LOVE the character designs. Then while at WWP I found out why. It was mentioned that the cover artist (for DD, Wolveringe Origins, Thunderbolts, and more) whose last name I still can't spell, is the one who did the character designs.

i have been lead to beleive that the Phalanx are a branch of the Technarchy (of which warlock/douglock belong) much like the Chitauri to the Ultimate Skrulls but i have not read any stories featuring the phalanx so i don't know for sure either way

They want to assimilate the world, and have been beaten by a certain race, I forget who, and I'm beating this race was destroyed in the first mini, letting the Phalanx run wild.

I don't think Douglock will be making an appearance, because there is no X-men in this story. But, they may pay a visit to Vulcan.

Which I hope they kill. I hate Vulcan

I read the Prologue...pretty good. I'm not familiar with some of these characters like the Phalanx but the concept of someone hacking what's left of the Kree is interesting.

Phy and Moondragon sure are kinky.

Anyone keeping up with this?

I love how the Phalanx is converting people to there cause, and the former heroes of the first wave, like Gamora, Nova and Ronin

I do.

It's not as good as the first one but it is still good.

I like how the people who are converted still have their personalities.

I do hope they visit Vulcan and the Starjammers. That would be awesome.

ive been folowing this very closely, it's not nearly as good as Annihilation itself but it's still entertaining

Wraith is very mediocre, Quasar is boring, Nova is cool, and Star-Lord is fricking awesome

there good enough, i imagine this will be alot like the lead-ins from the first Annihilation where the lead-ins weren't anything to phone home about, but the main mini will be amazing

I loved the original minis, except for Ronan was a little weak.

the savior is not Adam Warlock see here:

20) What made you decide to use Nova as the main hero in Annihilation?

GIFFEN: Andy Schmidt. I was lobbying for Warlock till we got the hands-off from Marvel. [Also, Nova is awesome.—Ben]

and here:

I’m guessing Adam Warlock is the savior hinted at in Quasar. How large a role will he be playing?

GIFFEN: Once again…none. Unless DnA got Marvel to lighten up.
