Not really. He only really became a REALLY interesting villain post-DKR. Before that, he was basically the gimmicky villain we saw in Batman Forever; plotting all of his crimes around the number 2, making 2-related puns, etc. The same is true of Mr. Freeze.

The only time I've ever heard someone say 'begarra' or any similar metaphor was on the Simpsons where Bart is watching an old episode of the Adam West Batman show and Chief O'Hara says "Oh, begara, Batman!". So it's just another American stereotype in the tradition of Chinese Food and Germans wearing Lederhosen. That is all.

I thought the Two-Face two-parter was interesting as hell , it was was also very well done , the fact they made it more mature than other episodes was the right way to deal with it , plus the change to Two-Face was not just "oh my face is damaged now i'm two face" but showed it was something that was always inside him but the accident helped bring it to the surface was just brilliant


The two face two parter is one of many reasons I say the early batman series
(before adding robin) Is better than any other timmverse series
 
The Two-Face two-parter is mega awesome and one of the bestest things ever. Any who disagree are to be fuffled into the burning fire dimension for all time.

That quote is one of my earliest childhood memories. I still have difficulty believing there is any scene more badass then that.

I know , but most cartoons do the old oh it just happens randomly or do not explain it well. Batman forever didn't even do it like batman TAS and that was a live action film with no excuse

I don't think the joker got an origin properly in Batman TAS I know he didn't in the The Batman.

So yeah the two face thing was a great surprise

On an unrelated note, you should check out the story "Case Study" by Paul Dini and Alex Ross, in Batman: Black and White Volume II. It's basically the unofficial origin of the DCAU Joker, and personally, it's my favourite Joker origin ever.
