YupDid you make this?
I feel like that layout also worked for the DCEU considering how close they were to each other
The closest Thursday, October 4ths are in 2018 and 2029... after the previous film got the newspaper dates right.
How do you screw up that bad? (Unless they assumed 2024 had a Thursday October 4th.)
Regardless, old newspaper. But Superman would have been Superman since 2022 so...
I dont even know how editions work.hmmm… interestingly enough, 321 days (or "editions") after may 24 is… april 9 lol, i guess those numbers should just be discounted entirely
i mean im pretty sure its just another word for "issue", with each new number representing another days newspaper, for example: in superman, the paper with the story about the hammer of boravia dated may 19 is edition number 60,002, while the paper dated may 24 that the robot is reading at the end of the movie is edition number 60,007I dont even know how editions work.
So no mention of how many years passed?there weren't any concrete timeline indicators (aside from maybe an extremely quick shot of a computer monitor at the very opening scene set during a montage, so not super reliable anyway); going by clark being 30 in 2025, we can assume krypton exploded in 1995 with kara being born around 8 years later in 2003, and it seems like she arrived on earth around late 2022, between when clark reveals himself as superman and when she is part of the team in peacemaker, so this movie must be in 2026 if she is turning 23
So no mention of how many years passed?
That helps a lot, thank you.kara definitely says it was 8 years after krypton explodes is when she was born, the rest of the flashbacks are presented with no direct mentions of the passing of time; when she arrives on earth kal already has a suit and explains that the bright colors are so people know they are the good guys, which leads me to believe he has already been known to the public by this point
really unfortunately i think that has to be the case, if supergirl is set in 2026 (which we dont actually definitively know) and shes turning 23; id love to be able to fudge the numbers somehow to try to make a feb 1996 date work for kals birthdayThat helps a lot, thank you.
So Kal-El was not born on a leap year in the DCU.

agreed i think a general 2026 date works for now, set between superman and lanterns, as per gunn's commentsLet's not overthink it at this point.
I think Gunn said Lanterns is set before Supergirl. That might have changed.agreed i think a general 2026 date works for now, set between superman and lanterns, as per gunn's comments
?…are these film spoilers?
I deleted it. I thought what I mentioned was already what is in the trailers.?…are these film spoilers?
