DC Extended Universe / DC Universe - Timeline

Lights Out isn't connected to The Conjuring and the director said its the same character four different times, even stating that she moved to Philadelphia after the events of Lights Out and that you could argue it's the same universe.

The Conjuring was literally just one person and was dismissed quickly. In that case, the director did say that it was only an easter egg.

Lights Out has no place in this timeline.

Period.

Eh, I knew you'd say that. Doesn't matter if the director said it was the same universe and same character, it's not a DC movie or part of the DCEU franchise. Like how The Curse of La Llorona and Wolves at the Door aren't Conjuring movies but feature Conjuring characters.

I still think Lights Out should be included because crossovers, not easter eggs, typically mean the same universe, but it's fine. That's just my opinion.

If they're doing the universe hopping stuff, that's gonna be complicated as hell.
Luckily for me, I don't count Peacemaker as "canon". It's a silly parody show IMO and I don't take it seriously. If Peacemaker shows up in things I do consider canon, then he's a variant of the version in that show. Gunn's comments about canon being whatever you want it to be is a very freeing statement that let's me count what I want and throw out what I don't want.

Oh, I like that!
As you pointed out, it does fit the poster from Lights Out too. New 52 designs are used in both. The DCEU happened in Earth-N52 until December 2019, then it became Earth-1 and it wasn't destroyed, continuing like normal. Fits. Outfit changes are also acceptable.

I suppose it's possible that Lights Out does happen in 2016 too, but I just figure that Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Cyborg, Aquaman and Flash being on a poster together is less likely before Justice League. It'd be a bit weird I think. Half of them aren't big heroes yet. It'd bit set in the middle of Suicide Squad if we take that interpretation.

Wasn't there Green Lantern merchandise in one of the BVS tie-in comics? A Shazam! tie-in too, I think.
