I found an article on Yahoo! about the upcoming 21st installment of the Bond movies... It's been called Casino Royale and will follow a young Bond earning his liscensed to kill. His mission is to assassinate two terrorists and, throughout the movie, he will make mistakes and correct them. The article said that there would be less of the technology angle and more of the action-adventure that the franchise began with. Bond will not where his typical tux, either, and the movie will be more "gritty" as the director explained it.

Does this mean he's going to fumble the ladies too, or will he still be Mr. Ladykiller even if he's not yet Mr. Villainkiller?

Bond: "I'm sorry, my dear, but whats a clitoris? Is that some evil weapon of mass destruction?"

"I may know nothing about the G-spot, darling, but I know a thing or two about G-forces. You see, I've fallen off a roof or two in my day."

This movie looks like its going to be good, there hasn't been a good Bond movie since Goldeneye. This one is based of a book, were Bond enters a private poker games to stop some douche from funding terrorist. I recall hearing his love interest would be alittle more serious and she can keep up with him. And in the book there's a part were he is beaten in the balls by a baseball bat.

I'm quite happy that Bond will be playing No Limit Hold'em this time around instead of baccarat. I never understood what the hell was going on in those card scenes in the old movies.

I'm looking forward to this. I have a good feeling about it.

JTG, to answer your question, James Bond will not be as savy with the ladies as he is in most of the other films. He actually, genuinely falls in love it seems... Of course, by the end, we'll have a reason why he has become the ladykiller he is.

Needless to say, this should be incredibly interesting.

Word. While Bond movies will always be entertaining....they have gone downhill since Goldeneye.

OO! That teaser was nice... Any pre-concieved notions I had about the new Bond are gone. I think he'll fit the role quite nicely. Also, this movie looks like it's going to be more classic action than the last one where there was weird science and cloning and stuff... Casino Royale should be good.

I didn't know they already made a casino royale? (not a big Bond fan) Al I know was that it was the first Bond Novel.

Re: James Bond - Casino Royale

That's kind of odd... But at least they are referring to their source material.

I just saw the trailer. I'm pretty impressed and glad it looks more storydriven than just awesome action sequences. Daniel Craig? I like him but he's just not convincing me as a 007. I think the casting was a mistake.

Re: James Bond - Casino Royale

I think once we get used to him in this movie we'll want him around for a couple more... I never really thought Roger Moore should've been James Bond (I had seen a Pierce Brosnan Bond before a Moore Bond) when I first saw him, but he grew on me... We'll have to see how this new guy's recieved.
