The Keyblade Wars don't actually appear. However, you'll learn what they were fought over, which is a pretty huge plot point,

I want to play them already!! Where the hell is KH3?! I bet if it ever came out, it would have Sora and the group go back in time and be in the war this time.

There's about three other games coming out, including KH3. The Keyblade Wars will likely show up in one of them.

I'm liking the idea of reimagining the first game. Though this news has been out for a while, so I apoligize if this is old news to you.

Admittedly, this trailer got posted in Japanese earlier, and the only point in releasing it again is the show off the voice cast. Which is generally awesome. (Aqua's is a little hit-and-miss for me, which is a shame since she's my favorite character.)
 
I don't know why it wasn't done before, but thread title changed to series talk instead of "II" since that's what it's become about.

Personally, I love it. Mostly because it gives quite a bit about the background of the Keyblades, and the worlds.
 
Was it mentioned here that Re:Coded is now coming out on the DS? Reading about it now in Nintendo Power. Glad it's not just for Japanese cell phones anymore. :)

Yup, it has a tentative street date of Jan 11.
 
Kingdom Hearts 3D will "connect directly to KH3".

In an interview with Famitsu magazine Tetsuya Nomura, mastermind behind the Kingdom Hearts series of games has revealed a few snippets about the upcoming Kingdom Hearts 3D game for the Nintendo 3DS. Most notably the game will "connect directly to Kingdom Hearts 3," with the possibility that the story will lead directly into the story of Kingdom Hearts 3. And, while I doubt we'll see this game as a launch title for the 3DS, "the game's central gameplay systems are all complete" so it sounds like the development is progressing well.

Kingdom Hearts 3D will have new Disney worlds

It looks like Kingdom Hearts 3D may have something really good going for it. I'm not talking about the 3D features this 3DS game will have, or the fact that it be the first appearance of the series on a whole new platform. Kingdom Hearts 3D will have something all Kingdom Hearts fans want, new Disney worlds for Sora and Riku to explore.

It's been said about the game that, "The action components of the game will apparently offer a "major sense of speed" while "the game's tempo and strategic feel will all be fresh" as you switch between playing as Sora and Riku."
