Kirkman was marvel exclusive apart from Walking dead and Invincible....then he started that wolfman series....anyway the contract finished this month so image offered him partnership. Fair play...I remember in the letterrs for on of his image books he made a big list about why savage dragon is one of his all time fave series, that probably helped get him the offer.

It also makes sense considering the only Image books worth buying are written by him. Maybe, just maybe...the quality at Image as a whole will pick up. But I kinda doubt it.

I doubt that was a consideration. I mean certainly his LOVE for Image, but I don't think namedropping a founder's book weighs much in corporate advancement. Otherwise, more people would kissing Erik Larsen's butt.
