Marvel Cinematic Universe - Timeline (Part 2)

I'm in the middle of rewatching the movies and got to Thor: The Dark World and noticed the November 14th date used when Eric is getting released, actually is the offense date rather than the day he is being released. Meaning his incident in Stonehenge is what falls on the 14th. To fix this, I would just move the current dates for the movie 2 days ahead. With the movie now beginning on the 13th and ending on the 19th. This would also mean the AoS tie-in would need to be adjusted accordingly.

A couple of suggestions for AoS. I would place The Well on November 18th-19th with the team in Greenwich being the day after the battle. Also, the episode covers two days while the timeline currently shows one. And the next episode, "Repairs" seems to pick up right after The Well with the team in the same hotel they were in the prior episode, hinting it's the next day. There's also a Wednesday newspaper at the beginning which would fit with the episode beginning on November 20th.
I agree

I feel like the following should be placed directly after "Avengers: Endgame".

"What If...?" is said to take place after the multiverse opens at the end of "Loki". "Loki" begins during the time heist in "Avengers: Endgame", meaning the events of that series occur during most of the Oct. 2023 events of "Avengers: Endgame". This series most likely picks up a few days after "Avengers: Endgame" since the multiverse opens at some point before the ending of "Endgame".

Totally agree, also, i think that the TVA scenes of Loki should be adedd after Endgame, since it's the only placement that would fit perfectly 'cause we don't know when TVA is, but it's almost impossible so at least with the What If....? scenes it's ok to me

The scenes set in the Time Variance Authority Office most likely occur in October of 2023, as this is when the Avengers time-travelled to May 4th, 2012 which sparked the TVA's attention.

The TVA is outside of time though. I don't think you can simply say it's October 2023 for them. I agree Loki should be right after Endgame due to the Avenger's actions setting the show into motion, but I don't think it's necessary to try and place TVA scenes in the timeline.

I mean, they may be "outside of time" but events in Oct. 2023 sparked their interest to go back to May of 2012 so I think it's logical to place the "present day" scenes in Oct. 2023 since there is literally no other evidence for placement.

I just don't think it's necessary to date the TVA scenes and it's far from accurate to say they're October 2023. The TVA is constantly dealing with variants like Loki and just because an event in October 2023 triggered them to go to May 2012, that doesn't mean it's October 2023 for them.

Then it doesn't matter either way does it?

I think it does matter because as far as the TVA is concerned, it isn't October 2023. I just don't see the big deal in keeping those scenes outside of time like intended.

Technically there is no such thing as being "outside of time", since time is relative....

Because for the TVA, time isn't linear and is perceived differently than how you and me would see it. There's no point or need in trying to specifically place it.
I'm not trying to be difficult here, but time IS linear. They too are in a time and space, just different location from the normal timeline is all.

Dermot Mulroney has been cast as a new USA president in Secret Invasion. Could we assume he takes office in January 2025?

He could have took office January 2021 depending on how the presidency was affected by the snap.

I will say that maybe it's president since 2021 or since 2025, but i would not get surprised if he is a skrull and took the form of a candidate of 2025

Okay this just brings up my questions around the presidency within the MCU all over again

So as we know, Matthew Ellis was president in Iron man 3 (2013) and for several seasons of AOS, with implications that he has been president for a while. However references in the TV shows (and Avengers 1) imply that Barack Obama exists in the MCU and has a similar standing to what he does in our universe. Runaways also implies that the Clinton/Trump presidential race happens and has a similar outcome.

To make this all work I figure that Matthew Ellis was Obamas VP instead of Joe Biden. Following the Attack on New York in 2012 Hydra orchestrated it so that Obama took the fall for the Nuke being launched at New York and he was impeached. Following the Fall of Hydra in 2014 and the leak of classified documents Obama's innocence was revealed, his reputation restored but Ellis remained president and completed his term. Following this we have Trump v Bush, with the whole narrative of Trump "draining the swamp" working surprisingly well in a post-Hydra world, and he becomes president.

Way I figure it, it should go

2000-2008: George Bush
2008-2012: Barack Obama (with Matthew Ellis with vice president)
2012-2016: Matthew Ellis
2017-2020?: Donald Trump
2021?-2025?: Dermot Mulroneys character?

pretty much a fan theory, but this is the best way I've found to make all the different references in the MCU work. And all we had to do was sacrifice Joe Biden's entire career

I'm forgetting any Obama references in the shows… was it just Runaways? I also don't remember anything from Avengers except Jay Carney appeared on the news, which doesn't really count since he could have been anyones Press Sec.

Regardless, he definitely exists in the MCU, so I think your theory works well and covers everything.

Another unanswered question: if Trump won in 2016, did he get snapped? Doesn't really matter, just something to think about.

EDIT: I just looked up some older posts on the topic. Another theory to work with is having Obama run in 04 and beating Bush, then losing to Ellis in 08.

Is there any evidence as to which party Ellis is from? Because that theory really only works if he's a republican, and your impeachment theory definitely only works if he's a democrat.

I mean hey if a fan theory makes sense of something that doesn't I say run with it, it all seems to add up and I doubt Secret Invasion is going to clear much up with a new president.
