Yes, Agents of Shield's Ghost Rider that transformed Robbie Reyes was just random guy, Ryan Gosling is indeed Johnny Blaze or he could be Danny Ketsch, Johnny Blaze's long-lost half-brother, but I don't know if could work.

They can easily retcon that into just some dude.

Or....Johnny didn't lose his powers.

The Spirit of Vengeance split into two beings.

Since David Jonsson is playing TChallas son as an adult, it makes me wonder when Black Panther 3 will be set
T'Challa's son was born in late-2018 or early-2019, having been conceived before his dad was blipped. He was about 5 years old in the 2nd film.
He'd be around 10 by Doomsday... I think Secret Wars has a 10 year time jump into Doom's Battleworld.

Then 20 year old T'Challa Jr gets temporally (not temporarily, TEMPORALly) displaced when all is reset and back to 2028/2029 post-Secret Wars.

That actor could pass for 20, despite being 32.

So he basically will replace his younger self when MCU get reset post-Secret Wars.
I think based on Doomsday rumors:
Doom literally kills all the kids of the heroes, T'Challa the 2nd, Love, and Steve's son. The T'Challa son in Secret Wars is one reborn and aged "as if he never died" but the child version is still dead post-Secret Wars.

Yea it always seemed like AoS Spirit of Vengeance could only bond with one person at a time.

But if I had to guess, the Good Samaritan will be retconned into just some dude and Gosling Rider will be host to a completely separate Spirit of Vengeance that doesn't overlap with AoS at all

Robbie = Spirit from the Dark Dimension

Johnny = Spirit from Mephisto's Hell

Discussions in the MCU wiki discord got me thinking. IF... and that's only an IF, Secret Wars creates a whole new main MCU reality where the Fantastic Four and X-Men always existed... then that actually means that canoners won and there's absolutely nothing that can be done to disprove them.

Think about it... if the history is even slightly different at all, even if it appears to be pretty much the same for the movie characters, this means that they could introduce new versions of the Runaways, the Inhuman Royal Family, of Quake, Cloak and Dagger, and it wouldn't actually affect the canonicity of anything. The MCU versions are still canon, they just existed in the pre-Secret Wars Earth-199999, one without (speculative) reality warping to place certain characters and teams together.

Again, I don't know if I've said this so I'm repeating if I did
It'd be kinda rad to have an X-Men movie show Mister Sinister watching from the shadows as Captain America was being unveiled

Considering that apparently the showrunners were legally unable to use Johnny Blaze in the show, that means Marvel Studios doesn't consider that character to be Johnny Blaze. If MCU gets rebooted, then I think that character can be considered the Johnny Blaze of 199999, while the Ryan Gosling version would be from a new reality. If MCU doesn't get rebooted, then that is not Johnny Blaze unless the Ghost Rider movie references the cameo, which is unlikely.

I agree, though Gosling might be playing Ketch based on the logo.

More like they were legally unable to call him Johnny Blaze. I'd still consider the Valeska brothers to be the Joker in Gotham, so why wouldn't I consider the guy with clear references to Johnny Blaze as being that character?

In the talk page of that wiki article, people are saying even if MCU gets rebooted, the character page should be renamed. However, if MCU ACTUALLY gets rebooted, I'd take the authorial intent of the showrunners (that character being Johnny Blaze) over legality (that character being someone else) since the issue of legality was solely over Johnny Blaze-199999 potentially appearing outside of Agents of Shield, which would never happen if MCU gets rebooted, meaning there would be no issue with that cameo being the Johnny Blaze of 199999.

The same would go with every other Marvel thing. They could create a new MCU timeline where none of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. happens but all the movies do (not necessarily the visual representation we saw but the events), and it would still be fully canon. Creative freedom without retcons, how perfect.

I'm still wondering how so
Didn't they regain full rights to the character and can do whatever they want with him
That's like buying out Nova rights yet after buying them back they could only legally use the successors like Sam Alexander and supporting characters instead of the first mantle holder

Marvel probably didn't want them to definitively use the name in case they wanted to have Johnny show up down the line.

In my opinion, the universe should not be rebooted (I don't care much for the next bazillion reboots of Iron Man and Captain America etc.), but Agents of Shield should still remain canon (even though I have yet to watch this show, from what I've seen, it adds to the MCU lore, and does not take away).

I'm saying that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. would remain canon no matter what if they altered the MCU timeline in any way whatsoever. No matter how different things are afterwards, it would not affect things prior to it.

I got a theory regarding one of the Endgame "Encore" extra scenes they supposedly put in it.

I think it's going to be a scene involving Steve's failure to return the Soul Stone or Time Stone, as additional context for why Doom is after him so it's not just lipservice in Doomsday.
