Talking of Scarface, I'm gonna assume that Scarface: The World is Yours (the video game they made for the PS2/Xbox) is also a divergent timeline owing to Tony's survival and rebuilding his empire before eventually killing Sosa, right?

Hi, guys. As you can see, I've come up with the idea that Bodhi did manage to complete the "Ozaki 8" ordeals. My theory is quite specific and I hope you'll find it interesting. I just whant to share my thought with you and find out whether you agree with me or not. I'll be glad to hear any...

I agree with this theory, although I think Bodhi just started a second list and he completed his first Ozaki 8 when he managed to survive the wave at the end of the movie. Realistically he would have died, but luckily there's no body. I think Payday 2 is supposed to be a sequel to Point Break.

Edit: Nevermind. "FBI Academy 2015", "October 13", "last 30th was a friday" (matches October 2015), hmm... the Bodhi briefing video mentions events from Point Break so at least the main events take place before the crossover heists.

Two possibilities:
1. We follow the movie's timeline and place the ending in April 2016, and assume that Bodhi survived the wave then returned to the gang.

2. We ignore the 17 months later (Homecoming situation) and place the end of the film in 2018-2019, with the assumption that Bodhi died. It is mentioned in the movie that a wave that size could take years to show up again, which means it isn't unlikely that the gap would be longer.

The Rumors and Stories text crawl after completing the secret ending suggests Payday 2 is a John Wick prequel, but the problem storywise is that John can mention his deceased dog in the game, and during Hoxton's Breakout, Hoxton has a chance to ask how Wick's family has been doing, then asks if he'd just said something bad once John gives him an awkward silence. He also has scars from the first film in the game, but I'm already ignoring them as it is.

Point is, if I absolutely have to, I can move John Wick 1-3 to 2023+, although that is very contradictory to the rest of the evidence. It might have been an attempt at fixing John's relationship with the Continental during Payday 2 since they're not trying to kill him.

Also, Payday reference in John Wick: Chapter 2. It's seemingly a two-way canon in any case.
