Saw this little feature over on IGN and thought it'd be a pretty good discussion here.

What comic-book is in dire need of fixing and why?
Ultimate Spiderman. I know that this can be a sore subject for a lot of loyalists, but the fact remains--Bendis has been phoning it in since the end of "Ultimate Six". That fact is irrefutable. And Bagley has been on cruise control on this title for as long as I can remember. At one point it looked as if the title was getting back on track with "Silver Sable" (not a huge improvement but at least it was something). The writing had that classic Bendis taste and the new coloring complimented Bagley's work very well. But then Deadpool came along and ruined that small build of momentum.

It's time for Bendis/Bagley to wrap it up with the Clone Saga and let a new team come in. Preferably BKV and Brooks. Letting BKV come in and allowing him to shake it up a bit would be a long overdue shot in the arm. And I don't mean have Peter find a new girlfriend....I mean something big. What exactly? I don't know---but something.....anything would be better than the one-two step Bendis has been using.

Which character is most deserving of his or her own comic book?
Black Adam

What character team-up would you love to see in comics?
A Punisher/Fury team-up ongoing called "Dirty Work". Fury and Frank going around the world taking care of the "ugly jobs" that need taken care of but the govt officials desire to stay clear of.

What creator team-up would you love to see in comics?
Mark Millar and Michael Turner on Ultimate Captain America

Outside of your top five list, give us three indie comics everyone should try out.
The Goon
Street Fighter II
Freshmen

What comic-book is in dire need of fixing and why?
I agree with Vic - Ultimate Spider-Man. I think "phoning it in" is being too kind. At the risk of sounding like a total dick, it's almost like there is no effort being put forth at all. And what effort is being put into it is coming up with these weird "changes" just for the sake of being different (prime example: Gwen Stacy's death to "Carnage")

It's frustrating because reading Daredevil or Alias, Bendis is one of the best writers out there. But USM just doesn't have it any more. Time for some fresh blood.

Which character is most deserving of his or her own comic book?
Sentry. Do it right and it could be better than Superman could ever dream of being.

What character team-up would you love to see in comics?
I'm not a big fan of team-ups, really. Most of the time the come across as too forced. Punisher appearing in Daredevil recently is just about the right way something like that should be done.

What creator team-up would you love to see in comics?
Grant Morrison & Bryan Hitch. Just because they're 2 of my favorites and I'd like to see what happened. They may have even worked together in the past; I dunno.

The only one I can think of is Fell. I don't really read indie books.

2. Daredevil
3. DMZ
4. All Star Superman
5. 52

What comic-book is in dire need of fixing and why?
Nightwing. Its just... bad. Very, very bad. Things looked like they were on the right track right before OYL then we jump ahead to Dick as a busted up male model who still *****es constantly. Hopefuly when Marv Wolfman comes onboard he'll get things back where they're supposed to be.

Which character is most deserving of his or her own comic book?
The Question. No Doubt.

What character team-up would you love to see in comics?
Blue Beetle/Black Adam. It'd be funny as all hell.

What creator team-up would you love to see in comics?
Warren Ellis, Phil Hester, Andy Parks on Green Lantern Corp.

4. Nextwave: Agents of H.A.T.E.
3. Ultimates 2
2. All-Star Superman
1. Punisher MAX

The top 3 are interchangable, depending on my mood.

What comic-book is in dire need of fixing and why?
Ultimate Spider-Man for many of the reasons that E and VVD listed. I loved the first 20 issues or so and it's sad to see it go so downhill.

It's gonna seem like I'm just Bendis-bashing again, but New Avengers, too. It was a good oppurtunity for Marvel to do something really original, but instead they just let Bendis **** it up. When I say "fix it", I mean go back in time and put a different writer on it from the start. A completely wasted oppurtunity.

Which character is most deserving of his or her own comic book?
I have to agree with Baxter. The Question.

What character team-up would you love to see in comics?
The Question/Batman.

The Punisher/Ghost Rider. Have they ever teamed up?

The Authority/The Ultimates. Think about it, it'd be sweet. Really sweet. Really, really sweet...

And it would be possible since the Carrier can cross through different realities...

I may have to write a fanfic, now.

What creator team-up would you love to see in comics?
Millar and Hitch on Superman, because if they don't their heads will explode.

Alan Moore and Alex Ross telling the story of Jesus Christ. Ross mentioned in an interview that it was his "dream project", and the more I thought about it the more I realized how awesome it would be.

Frank Miller circa 1985 on The Punisher.

Which character is most deserving of his or her own comic book?
Definitely The Question.

What character team-up would you love to see in comics?
I want to see the DC/Wildstorm crossover that's been rumoured with the Justice League taking on The Authority etc.

Quentin Tarantino/Frank Quitely - The Punisher

That is surprising.

I'm enjoying it. Once Seven Soldiers #1 comes out though, it will blow it out of the water.

Hmm. I'm going to with Ed Brubaker and John Cassaday.

Outside of your top five list, give us three indie comics everyone should try out.
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
Star Wars: Legacy
Street Fighter II

Mmm, yeah. I was thinking about Brubaker and Cassaday on The Ultimates instead of Loeb/Mad.

I'd also like Morrison/Nguyen on Ultimate Fantastic Four.

Perhaps Vaughan and Land on Ultimate Spider-Man.

And Casey and McNiven on Ultimate X-Men.

That is all genius. I would so want that.

Morrison needs to write UFF. It just seems inevitable.

I wish they had waited for him to start it instead of doing the crappy Millar/Bendis starting arc. :(

Was it Joe Q. who said that the idea he had for the origin was too brilliant for comics or something like that? Anyone have a link to that quote?

I think Wizard said Morrison had ideas for the UU that were too brilliant to be printed... and I know Queseda said he was interested in UFF...

5. AllStar Superman
4. NextWave
3. Civil War (it even got me to pick up amazing spider-man!)
2. X-factor
1. Runaways

What comic-book is in dire need of fixing and why?
Nightwing. Completely bastardization of character. Though I think the current team is not returning, and the stories are going to be very different afterwards, so that is good.

Which character is most deserving of his or her own comic book?
Very unoriginal, but Black Adam or the Question would both be great.

What character team-up would you love to see in comics?
It's been done before, but Spidey and Torch. Talking about Civil War.

Black Adam/Superman

Ridiculous: Teen Titans/Runaways

What creator team-up would you love to see in comics?
Morrison/Quietly: Something. Anything. I need more.

Millar/McNiven: Works as well as Hitch, but faster. and (in my opinion) better.

Escapist.
