Who should write the Avengers after Bendis leaves?

I like Slott but he is already writing Mighty Avengers. I also like Geoff Johns but he's at DC. I think you would need someone with better characterization skills then Bendis.

Well, we all know there will be rebooted Avengers books. We'll probably see new versions of Mighty and Initiative at least. But I wouldn't be surprised to see Bendis leave Avengers for a new project. He's been directing this line for a while.

based on the last paragraph of this, I suspect that Bendis will still be at the helm of whatever Avengers titles come after Siege.

Oh man, I'm kinda sick of Bendis on Avengers. I think Bendis is a good writer, but I don't think he writes teams well, he is a niche writer. If he is not writing solo urban heroes, its not very good. I would rather see someone with a stronger sense of characterization then Bendis, Bendis can write some characters well, but he can't handle a lot of character types well. Someone like Slott would be better.

I would love to see Pak be the new writter on avengers, though i wouldn't mind Bendis sticking around.

Waid's Fantastic Four and Superman: Birthright were outstanding. I would have zero problem with him taking Avengers.

I would love an Amazing Spider-Man-esque Avengers comic - make it come out every two weeks and be written by three or four writers (Hickman, Fraction, Brubaker etc.)

Except he doesn't, when he is writing a character outside of his niche, the character does not sound right. He can write within his niche well and characters like Luke Cage, but most of the characters sound like they are having a bad Seinfeld conversation.

Also for the most part, the only villains that have shown up over the last 2 years or so are Hood and his gang and man are they dull, when Bendis writes them. These charactes can be interesting when other people write them, but here they are all just so dull.
