As it was mentioned elsewhere, Brian Michael Bendis and Sara Pichelli will be the creative team on the Miles Morales "Spider-Man" titled ongoing series.
Now there's more info being released and Bendis says the first year of the title will serve as the sequel to the Spider-Men mini-series...
Bendis & Marquez to relaunch "Invincible Iron Man" under All-New, All-Different Marvel
"He's getting new armor, a new girlfriend, new villains, a whopper of a last page and thanks to Kieron Gillen who revealed that Tony Stark is adopted, we're going to find out who Tony's biological parents...
What are your thoughts on the sentry?
I've been reading Capt. Marvel (volume 1&3)and miracle man recently. Really great stories. For this reason I thought about giving the Sentry a chance even though I am not at all familiar with him, just the basics.
Is he a good/interesting character? What...
Or: How Galactus doesn't look to be coming back to 616.
From Marvel's Ultimate Comics Panel at SDCC:
Loew then exclusively announced: Cataclysm: The Ultimates Last Stand, from Bendis and Mark Bagley, a Galactus-centric story where the heroes of the Ultimate Universe not only will discover...
It would be good to have a thread about this since it sounds like it is going to be a huge project.
I just read the .1 issue and while it was not anything especially special, it was a good intro (and background on Starlord) and the end with Tony Stark was surprising, indicating that he is...
Marvel Issues Binary Teaser of New/Old BENDIS Project
"Age of Ultron"
That's what this new teaser image from Marvel Comics says in binary code, the native language of computers, and sentient homicidal robots, of course. Bendis teased the teaser on twitter, showing his enthusiasm for...
#1 is out today. And it's 3.99 for 24 pages.
Beast discovers he's dying and he, Iceman, Storm, & Kitty decide that Cyclops is going too far in protecting mutants or something, I guess. It's OK for Emma or Magneto to do it but not him. I didn't get that.
Also I had no idea that Scott escaped...
Marvel reveals "Daredevil: End of Days"
Today, the publisher arranged for a special press conference call to reveal "Daredevil: End of Days" done by the legendary creative team of Brian Michael Bendis and David Mack writing with Bill Sienkiewicz and Klaus Janson on art.
Brian Michael...
Did anyone else pick this up? I was really looking forward to it.
It is the most boring thing I've read in a while. And that's saying a lot, because I read most of the New 52 books.
It is so decompressed that I can't be sure what the plot is. I've never seen anything like that. It looks like...
Anyone read the new issue yet??
Anyways, not a bad start. Kind of annoyed that Bendis just copyed the dialog from the first Ultimate Spider-Man on the first page. It's interesting that he made Miles' Uncle the Prowler. What did you guys think?
No discussion on this? I just got caught up. 3 issues are out. No one is reading it?
It's really good so far! I'm not noticing the Bendis vocal tics all over the place like usual, which is a huge plus. And he's doing some cool things with the character - he's got a new "sidekick" who is a...
Just read the first issue - the art is so much better than the Bendis/JRJR Avengers book. I think I like the team better too (even though I don't think they've fully formed).
Long story short, Cap asks Luke if he wants to continue the Avengers and Luke is Apprehensive because he doesn't trust...
So the first arc's villains might be the Next Avengers. HA!
The issue itself is ok, it's mostly set-up. The art alternated between good, and ugly (a.k.a. any close-ups of women's faces).
Scarlet
Brian Michael Bendis and Alex Maleev bring their creator-owned SCARLET to Icon this July
http://marvel.com/news/comicstories.12086.c2e2_2010~colon~_scarlet
I'm more than intrigued. This is the kind of book Bendis writes well so it's reasonable to think it will be good. And...
Who should write the Avengers after Bendis leaves?
I like Slott but he is already writing Mighty Avengers. I also like Geoff Johns but he's at DC. I think you would need someone with better characterization skills then Bendis.
Not only do we have a solicitation that doesn't tell us anything, we have an interview that barely tells us more - EXCLUSIVE: Brian Bendis Reveals Marvel's 'Ultimate Enemy'
