Power Rangers Multiverse Timeline

Help Support The Comic Board:

The movies are required to fully understand the last season (before the soft reboot)
I don't mean the specials, I mean the theatrical films that have Gabriel get revealed at Hawkmoth at the end of the first film, which is an alternate version of the origin story.

I'm pretty sure it isn't. Zordon's body and a bit of his backstory stuff contradicts the canon. The movie is just supposed to be a fun side thing. And Season 3 is basically the "canon" version of it I guess. Think of it kind of like the Miraculous Ladybug theatrical films which are just fun noncanon one offs that can't fit with the main timeline but share storylines
Maybe it isn't canon, but was it ever officially stated as such directly? That's the part that annoys the crap out of me.

The musical? I don't remember any movies other than that, and the specials

this threat has to be modernised and redone fr.

Btw for the Next Mutation, it's the same universe as the 1st film series or a completely different universe?

It's more or less the same universe, I did a timeline for it somewhere but one change to that I'd make it movies 1-3 all take place in 1993 since Next Mutation happens in like 1997 and they're about to turn 18 in that series I think so the earliest the films can go is 1993 since that's when they're 13 and the name Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles would still make sense

In the meantime I'll add every episode and special, I'm now into season 3. Then I'll go with other media.

@Megatron any updates on how the Power Rangers Prime comics ended?
nope, but as I know they started another series where the original PR becomes rangers 10 years after they quitted.

Interesting, as it would place itself in the early 2000s, so dw no contraddictions from Once and Always, but I'd have to dig further.

Ok I have all the Zordon Era episodes in the simplified order. Tomorrow I'll add the Post-Zordon Era ones.

I completed the Post-Zordon and Disney Era, and done Samurai, tho I can't continue to add the episodes as we have that damn limiter.

Accordiing to this comic, the game is a "What If?"

Idk if it's possible to have all of this happen during the special tho, as the comic actually gives Trini's daughter more character Development than the special does lol.
The game is pretty obviously a what if lol. Robo Rita goes back in time and helps 1993 Rita. And all the classic monsters from MMPR are summoned on like the Rangers first day and some are summoned both at once which contradicts all their debut episodes lol

the problem is the tie-in comic that is all about avoiding Robo Rita to change the timeline. So in some way the events of this game were always about to happen?

Power Rangers being complicated as usual basically.

Probably just a temporary timeline then that gets erased and replaced by the actual events of Once & Always

It can't be, cos everything is fixed at the end.

I'm thinking of something to make it work, I'll talk about it after I finish with all the TV/Film media.

Also Megatron I'm not sure if you saw my TMNT post about the PR versions awhile ago but Next Mutation is supposed to be a continuation of the films I'm pretty sure with the same lair and everything. They do show Next Mutation turtles as separate from the 90s films and the 2007 film but that doesn't contradict them being the same continuity as the show universes that are different issues of the same comic series for example and those obviously aren't alternate continuities lol. So yeah I'd say like.

1993: for the first film, then the NES game for TMNT2 (this introduces Bebop, Rocksteady, Kraang and Baxter Stockman who also appear in the PR comics) then the 2nd and 3rd films. Then the 2007 film and it's prequel comic since Shredder still hasn't come back to life yet, then the Smash Up tie in game for 2007 comes next as Shredder is back. Finally in 1993 we end with the TMNT crossover comics as Shredder is back finally and has his expanded group of minions and Karai is also there iirc.

Then we jump ahead to around 1997 for the Next Mutation show the storyline for the show continues throughout the late 90s and Early 00s through a series of Letters on the official website (these are archived you can find them online). 1998 is when the PR in Space crossover happens right? Or 1999 idk

Also question, how will you fit the Alpha 5 Christmas Special in? I'd like it to fit canon but like... It kinda contradicts because Tommy has the Green Ranger suit but they show archive footage of the White Ranger in flashbacks.

So there's 2 options here

1. The Flashback footage isn't diagetic so it doesn't count (I haven't seen it so I'm not sure how directly the scenes tie into the plot but if they're off screen or Alpha 5 doesn't directly comment on it then I say they're kinda ignorable)

2. This second option is way more hand waivey but you could just write off the Green Ranger suit appearing in present day as a mistake and it's supposed to be Tommy as the White Ranger, visual inconsistency basically

For this you can find my simplified order, is already there, as now I have to work on Dial and season 30 and then see if I missed anything TV related.

can you put them again in a timeline way, please?

Something like this

1993- TMNT 1
1993- TMNT 2 (NES game, specifically happens directly after the first film)
1993- TMNT 2: Secret of the Ooze (the movie this time)
1993- TMNT 3
1993- TMNT 2007 prequel comic (idk it's name)
1993- TMNT 2007 film
1993- TMNT Smash Up (smash clone game)
1993- Power Rangers/TMNT comic
1997- TMNT: The Next Mutation
1998- Power Rangers In Space(?)
1997 through 2002(?)- TMNT Next Mutation letters. Not sure the exact years it starts and ends this is just an assumption because I believe they start during the show and then end around some time after 9/11 since they discuss those events in letters towards the end.

Note that the first film has an 89 date on a police report but this has to be an old file because the TMNT wouldn't be teens in the first film if it was that far back because they're turning 18 in the Next Mutation show I think it's mentioned there.

There also could be other side material I'm unaware of at the moment

The first 2 films actually could occur in 1992 I think but no earlier than that. TMNT 3 is firmly 1993 due to its poster

I think that the films can occur in different years, like the Mirage turtles by the time of Voluume 4 aren't definetly teenagers anymore to make an example, so I think we can place the films in a more free why than having everything occour in 1993.

My problem with that specifically is that they're stated to be turning 18 soon in Next Mutation and iirc they're stated to be 14 in the first film aren't they? Iirc the original film says how many years it's been since they were mutated
