Spider-Man Spider-Man/Fantastic Four (2010) [spoilers]

Great start to the series...I wasn't expecting much to it but it was very entertaining.

Doom cons the Fantastic 4 into providing security in exchange for signing peace treaties with a number of countries. Namor attacks Doom and Doom does a mind/body swap with Johnny to fight Namor. Johnny and Spider-Man decide the only way to beat Doom is to humiliate him, so Johnny (in Doom's body) signs a bunch of the treaties in exchange for cars and chocolate, etc. Pretty funny. Even Namor thought so.

I like the lighthearted tone and that they avoided being too goofy with it. I really don't like joke stories involving Doom but they pulled this one off nicely.

I sort of wanted to pick this up but decided not to. I spend too much money on comics and the X-Men/Spider-Man mini was good, but the ending was ridiculous.

This reminded me a lot of Dan Slott's Spider-Man/Human Torch mini, which is a good thing.

We all know Namor has a sense of humor.

So this gets a thumbs up from me.

Issue 2 was better than it should've been. The Venom symboite escapes and goes after Franklin, possessing Sue, She-Hulk, and Reed along the way.

This isn't in continuity is it?

Well susposidly, someone is going back in time and causing all this to happen. Sow we could be looking at an alternate timeline. Earth-????
