Marvel Studios head honcho Kevin Feige introduced Spider-Man: Homecoming director Jon Watts and Co. to the Hall H stage at Comic-Con Saturday night, but kept the identities of Zendaya, Tony Revolori, Jacob Batalon, and Laura Harrier's characters under waps. Later though, Watts put us on a first-name basis with them during an interview with EW.

According to the filmmaker, Zendaya plays Michelle, Revolori plays Flash, Harrier plays Liz, and Batalon plays Ned. "We constantly refer to ourselves as The Breakfast Club," Harrier says of their relationship.

"I'm [Peter Parker's] bully and I don't know how cool he is, but when we call cut, I'm just like, 'Ah! You're so cool,'" Revolori recalls of working with Tom Holland, who plays the title character.

The film, described as John Hughes-esque, has already begun filming the story of Spider-Man navigating the waters of high school and the superhero world. And while high school alone is terrifying enough, Comic-Con attendees were treated to the first look at the real Homecoming villain: Vulture.

Watts and his cast wouldn't confirm who's playing the character, but reports point to Michael Keaton, who's now officially a member of the cast.

"Vulture's the first real villain in the Spider-Man comics," Watts says, "He's in the second issue. He's one of the classics from the best rogues' gallery out there, and we've never seen him, he's never been brought to life."

First look at the trailer tomorrow night on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

That looks utterly wonderful. It's taking all the best elements of 616 and Ultimate Spider-Man and jam packing it into one film. The humor is fantastic, the charming naivety and Everyman portrayal of Peter by Holland, it's all perfect. Even that one line said by Keaton's Vulture threatening Peter was great. Cliched, but delivered with gravity and believable menace.

This film looks like pure joy.

I love the subtle stuff. The identity theft sign while the "Avengers" are robbing the bank, "Thor" punching out "Hulk" who was previously standing in a classic Hulk pose, the Bruce Banner picture in the classroom, the old suit being used, all the bad guy tech being similar due to the Tinkerer, and I'm sure there's more I missed

Oh, the guy blasting the school buses is Shocker.

So I've been disappointed with this trailer all morning and I haven't been able to figure out why. It's very cool, so why am I not super excited? Then I realized that Spider-Man's classic supporting cast (Flash, Harry, Gwen, MJ, JJJ) are a huge part of the reason I love Spider-Man. And the past five movies have kind of used those characters up so they aren't in this one.

The supporting cast in this looks great. Having Ganke (or whoever that is) and Tony Stark in the movie is a brilliant idea because now Peter will have sounding boards and we will have an organic way to know what is going on in his head. The first trilogy used inner monologues. The first ASM had Peter acting out to show us he was frustrated (I don't remember the second one). Having two different characters he can talk to and react to is going to work much better.

And it seems very funny and has great action. So yes, I'm excited for what this movie is, but a little sad for what it isn't.

The supporting cast I'd there, it's just comic accurate now. Flash, Liz, (is that Gwen next Liz in the hallway?), and "Ganke" is actually Ned Leeds all were in Peter''s high school in 616. He doesn't meet MJ until college

I didn't see Flash. Is Liz the one they are staring at?

Ned Leeds was never in high school with Peter, he was a reporter at the Bugle.

And yes, Gwen, MJ, and Harry were all college friends. But he was only in high school for a few issues originally. The supporting cast in highschool were just Liz and Flash, plus the Daily Bugle crew: Jameson, Betty Brant (who he dated), Ned Leeds, and Frederick Foswell. And of course Aunt May.

But I'm not sad the movie isn't comic accurate, I'm sad the classic supporting cast, my favourite secondary characters, aren't in it.
