The Flash - Series Discussion (spoilers)

Re: The Flash: The Fastest Man Alive (spoilers)

sorry, boss, just having a little fun.

Bart = Good Flash
Jay = Crap Flash

Speculation: Bart comes back from speed force, unable to use abilities, so Jay becomes the new flash. Wally West, now stuck in the speed force, reaches out through Bart to become a speedster again, but for one reason or another, Bart Doesn't want to be...

All I know is that I BET you that we'll be seeing a Flash vs. Flash issue within the first arc...

Re: The Flash: The Fastest Man Alive (spoilers)

So can anyone summarize what happens in the last issues of Flash before it's restart?

Re: The Flash: The Fastest Man Alive (spoilers)

what's wrong with Jay Garrick?

And no ice, we can't. There was alot going on in the last major arc of The Flash and it would probably take just as long to write a summary as it would to read it over. Besides, most of it won't have much effect on things since we're getting a new flash and the last series was all Wally.

That's nice.

Anyone else? :)

Ignoring the **** Vandal Savage six-parter....

Zoom (Hunter Zolomon) captured Jay Garrick to activate the Cosmic Treadmill that sends people through time, and pulls out the original Professor Zoom (Eobard Thawne) out of the timestream literal seconds before his death... They almost kill Linda, and then The Two Zooms then work together to capture wally and bring him back to the most tragic moment of his life, when his wife Linda miscarried with their twins, and make Wally live it over, and over, and over again, helpless to stop it from happening (Zolomon created a sonic boom that caused Linda to Miscarry when he first appeared, as he believes that a real hero needs tragedy, the living it over and over is another example of that trend). Then Barry Allen shows up and the four of them **** up the timestream, accidentally sending the original Captain boomerang to the 30th century (showing that the New Guy's mother was Meloni Thawne, making him Bart Allen's half-brother), and undoing Linda's miscarraige. Barry chases Eobard back into the past, where he will accidentally kill Professor Zoom and get arrested for murder. Wally returns home, and the current Zoom disapears into the timestream (which is where he gets his powers, rather than the Speed Force).

At the Hospital, Linda goes from almost dying to contractions, as she is now fully pregnant and ready to pop out some babies. So she does.

The babies have yet to be named, as they have been living in the speed force with their parents since Infinite Crisis #5.

I am, of course, ignoring everything that happened with the Rogue Wars (including Captain Cold shattering the Top, and Heat-Wave and the original Trickster becoming rogues again)... but that's a whole other summary.

ok so how the heck is bart gonna get his speed back?

God knows. After actually appearing as the Flash for a while in IC#7 it invalidates the card "reveal" of the new flash because he was the Flash for a while. So it could still be anyone.

How does Clark get his powers back?

How is Clark going to get out of the Phantom Zone in Smallville?

That's the wonder of comic books.

Are there any candidates othere than Jay & Bart? DiDio said in DC Nation this week, fairly blatantly, that it isn't gonna be Jay so....

Re: The Flash: The Fastest Man Alive (spoilers)

Can someone please post a list of all of Geoff John's Flash TPBs, preferably in chronological order? I'm interested in reading them. Thanks.

Yours is not the place to question......but merely to accept. 8)

Re: The Flash: The Fastest Man Alive (spoilers)

So, I've begun the challenge to read all of Geoff John's run on Flash...

Just finished the first arc, "Wonderland". It was pretty good. Kinda average story though, but at least the art was alright.

Now onto "Blood Will Run".

Re: The Flash: The Fastest Man Alive (spoilers)

Preview of todays Flash issue to be found HERE.

The writers deffinatly have a handle on the Flash history. I just hope this first issue isn't almost all recap of the last 70 some years. I'm eager to get into the next incarnation of the scarlet speedster.
